Pleasant enough by NYC standards
Pros:

Beds were very comfortable and we really appreciated the toiletries. The location of the hotel was perfect for us as tourists. It was easy to get everywhere as there were many subway stations nearby. There were a few eateries very close to the hotel to grab a quick bite as well. We stayed at the Chicago Doubletree prior to arriving in NYC and that hotel had bigger rooms and better service from the staff. We loved the cookies at both locations- simply too good to resist.

Cons:

The location of the lobby on the second floor was inconvenient as we had to lug our luggages after a long trip getting to NYC. The reception at the front desk was very perfunctory and not friendly or welcoming. The lifts too were not very prompt and we did have some long waits. We were not happy that drinking water was not provided in the rooms as that seems to be a basic requirement.

Wouldn't stay there again.
Pros:

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. That's about it.

Cons:

Staff on site were pleasant. However, when calling the hotel directly before going, they were a bit rude on the phone.
Had to fight to close closet once clothes were hung -- ridiculously small, as was the bathroom.

You have to wait the elevator because is a lot of people going up and down…. Is better use the stairs

Overnight getaway
Pros:

You were in walking distance to several bars and restaurants. Close to the subway.

Cons:

I reserved a Deluxe King with a River View. The bed was not a king I was told it was the standard size bed. If that's the case their should not be a difference in rate from Queen to King. I'm 5'6 and I just made the height of the bed. If you are 6ft your feet are going to hang over the bed. That was definitely not a king. The fridge is not a fridge its a cooler that didnt keep anything cool.
