I loved our stay and highly recommend it!
Pros:

The Batavia Hotel is a little gem in the heart of Stellenbosch. A skip away from the center, with charming, quirky decor, well-appointed rooms, amazingly friendly staff and just a delight all round. I've found my go-to place when travelling to that part of the Cape.

Pros:

A acomodação era muito boa e gostei bastante do espaço. O quarto era confortável, com boas instalações, cama confortável e um banheiro excelente. Os funcionários também foram muito educados, atenciosos e prestativos durante toda a estadia.

Como ponto a melhorar, achei que o café da manhã poderia ter mais variedade de opções. Apesar disso, estava gostoso e atendeu bem.

No geral, gostei muito da experiência e voltaria a me hospedar.

It is a FIVE star boutique hotel: definitely NOT.
Batavia is nothing more than an averageTHREE star guesthouse.
Room no 7 was ice cold.
No slippers or bathrobes were provided.
Coffee machine is provided, but no Coffee pods?
Tee cups dated out of 1920/ 1930’s? Very old and stained.Towels are washed out. Bar fridge was not stocked as per the list.
European 2 point plug was not provided for the hairdryer.The duvet is extremely old , the inside filling has nearly disintegrated.
I can go on and on…… Batavia needs an urgent facelift.😭😭😭😭😭

Pros:

Convenient, clean, safe, warm.
Tv remote wasn't working well, could have been the battery, channels limited, only one coffee pod per person, but the Sherry was a nice touch, thank you!
