Das Frühstück war okay.

Cons:

Die Heizung hat nicht funktioniert, die Außentemperaturen waren, vor allem nachts, niedrig. Es stand ein Heizlüfter zur Verfügung, der aber sehr laut war und daher nur stundenweise angeschaltet werden konnte.
Die Bettwäsche hatte blutähnliche Flecken. Vorhänge, Nachttisch, Nachttischlampe waren ebenfalls sehr schmutzig. Auf dem Teppichboden lag eine Schraube (es wurde scheinbar nicht gründlich gesaugt).
Das WLAN hat nur kurz funktioniert und stand uns dann, anders als angepriesen, nicht mehr zur Verfügung.
Das Haus ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und stark renovierungsbedürftig.
Es würde mich interessieren, ob sich das Zimmer, das auf den Bildern abgebildet ist, überhaupt in dem Haus befindet.
Check-In stand auch nicht wie angegeben zur Verfügung. Wir mussten bei Ankunft (ca. 16.30 Uhr) eine Handynummer anrufen. Daraufhin hat es weitere gut 20 Minuten gedauert bis jemand kam. Wie gut, dass wir mit dem Auto dort waren und im Auto warten konnten. Es war nämlich kalt und hat leicht geregnet.

Wir haben zuerst das Zimmer 1 im Erdgeschoss direkt am Eingangsbereich bekommen; dies war eine Zumutung, und es sollte überlegt werden, diese Zimmer nicht mehr anzubieten. Der Grund ist simpel und für jeden riechbar und ersichtlich: Es riecht stark nach Schimmel, und dieser ist auch sichtbar (im Schrankbereich an der Wand zum Bad sowie an der Bad decke). Ich bin beruflich im Bereich Schimmel- und Wasserschäden tätig und habe auch festgestellt, dass die Vormauerung am WC eingebrochen ist; der Trockenbau dahinter ist komplett nass und vermutlich auch verschimmelt.

Dies haben wir dann vor Ort bemängelt und um ein anderes Zimmer gebeten. Im ersten Moment wurde ein Aufpreis von 20 € verlangt, da sie uns jetzt ein besseres Zimmer geben müssten, was wir ja nicht gebucht hatten. Erst beim Erwähnen meines Berufes wurde uns ohne Weiteres das Zimmer 7 gegeben, mit derselben Größe und Ausstattung wie Zimmer 1 im Erdgeschoss, also kein „besseres Zimmer“.

Zimmer 7 im zweiten Obergeschoss hat zwar dieselben Probleme wie Zimmer 1 im Bad (Schimmel an der Bad decke und defekte Fliesen im WC-Bereich), allerdings hat man dort keine Feuchtigkeit oder Schimmel gerochen.

Wer eine ruhige Basis im Kreis Düren sucht, macht hier nichts falsch. Das Zimmer war ordentlich hergerichtet, Handtücher frisch und es gab genügend Steckdosen in Bettnähe.

Ganz und gar nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir brauchten kurzfristig eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit und haben über booking.com gebucht.

Zimmer entsprachen nicht der Beschreibung, statt Kingsize-Bett einmal 1,40 x 2,00 m und einmal zwei Einzelbetten, davon eines sehr klein. Eines der beiden Zimmer wurde wohl vergessen zu reinigen inkl. Unterhose und Tabletten vom letzten Gast, Spinnenweben, Staub etc..
Ansonsten Flurlicht defekt, eine Lanpe defekt inkl. unisoliertem Kabel, ein Fenster liess sich nicht öffnen, da Rollladen defekt, gar keine Rauchmelder u.s.w.
