I liked the staff who were very friendly. The room was large. The public areas of the hotel are also lovely.
The shower was awful. The food in the bar that night was terrible and I couldn't eat it.
We were there for an event, a birthday party and the arrangements were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Nowhere to hang a towel in the bathroom...

I had a family room for myself and my two younger children which was very spacious.
On my second night, the function room was in use for a birthday party. The music was incredibly loud in my room. We were not guests at the function and had real difficulty sleeping. Not best to place a family with young children above a booked function room who not part of the celebration. A room in a different part or the hotel would have been preferred. Loud music until midnight. Contemplated leaving the hotel that night due to noise. Disappointed.
Very clean friendly and rooms were spacious.
Perfectly situated.
Convenient location.
A bright light was on infront of the room through the night making it difficult to sleep. Bathroom sink had hot and cold water running in parallel streams but not mixing well. The bathroom needs refurbished
Hotel was lovely, staff friendly however we stayed in room out with hotel which wasn’t the cleanest
Main hotel food, staff excellent
Stayed for a party
Bed a bit small
Very comfortable beds. Pub had nice food. Good price. I would definitely stay again as it is a convenient stop.
Nothing that I did not like but I could see how incredibly busy they were with not only guest but private celebrations and the staff looked sooo streched. I felt bad for them.
it was in a good location for were we wanted to go and good value for money
staff in the bar not professional and rude at times
The room was small but clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was lovely and the staff were friendly
The breakfast was a let down. We had the full scottish. Beans were cold, bacon practically raw and we were one of the first to be their for breakfast. Not worth the price paid
The food was very good
Nothing to dislike
The location, (direct access to Antonine Wall path) the room, the staff and the great food.
Nothing
