The bathroom was clearly under renovation, and the room should never have been offered to guests. The beds were little better than camp beds. It was nobody’s fault that the weather was so hot, but we had to ask for a fan, when it should have been offered. The layout of the room was appalling with no plugs near the desk so we could recharge our electronics. The room wasn’t the cleanest. When we booked we asked for a walk-in shower because of mobility issues, and we got a climb in bath with a shower nozzle. The room was so inadequate we left after one night and when we checked out the owner simply said “have a nice day” without enquiring why we were leaving.
Such friendly staff and delicious food!

I survived The Dial House JUST!!! I stayed last night after attending a friend’s party. Someone said it was Faulty Towers and they weren’t wrong.
The bed was wobbly all night I thought it might collapse.
I went to have a shower this morning and opened the shower door and it fell off.
I placed it against the wall and turned the shower on anyway and the water was freezing, the hot water tap wasn’t working.
I turned the hot tap on the sink and no water came out. Just the cold tap so I gave up.
No worries I thought I’ll have a cup of tea and go. Put the kettle on and it went bang. 🤦♀️
It was time to go and get breakfast.
Won’t be staying here again.
The location was good for what I needed but that was it.

Location.
No staff available or in overnight.
Shower was old unclean and poor. I didn't shower! Did not book breakfast and ate in coffee shop locally. Curry restaurant run downstairs? Not sure if appropriate. Scaffolding around house. TV connection had got cut off.
The young man at reception was beyond helpful
Lovely welcome. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Room was all I required. Quiet and clean.
Food was exceptional especially the lamb shank!! Staff in the restaurant were friendly and chatty but not invasive.
Don’t be put off by the sign or renovations - this is a hidden gem!!
The room smelled very strongly of smoke. When I brought this up to the manager, he said it was due to recent cleaning by bleach and didn't offer an alternative. Poorly maintained
Comfy bed

Quite location right now where I need to be

One of very few restaurants in Berkshire which has authentic flavour in everything we ordered. Beautiful decor and love the teal velvet seating style. Soft jazz music in the background gives the atmosphere a nice edge. Service was very attentive and welcoming. Dishes we chose were chicken biryani, chicken makhani and an aubergine curry, with sides of pilau rice and buttered naan. All were excellent quality and taste. Good selection of cocktails, enjoyed the flavoursome Mango Daiquiri! Will definitely visit again and look forward to trying other items on their menu.
Visited Piro Restaurant for first time. Lovely atmosphere with friendly attentive service from Rabin and nice decor. This venue is trying to be different with smaller range of Indian, Nepaleses type dishes freshly cooked and I enjoyed trying some new dishes recommended by the waiter. Throroughly enjoyed the food and hope to go again soon.
L'emplacement, à quelques centaines de mètres du Wellington Collège
Le couchage très mou, une fuite d'eau au plafond à quelques centimètres du lit.
