Was pleasant but not stress free
Pros:

Staff were nice, beds were comfortable. Room was quiet. Breakfast was nice. Manager was helpful in getting us somewhere to park but was in a bus bay so was very lucky no buses were due when we stayed

Cons:

Car parking was awful , there was very little chance of us finding a spot or any alternative parking around the area. There was mould on the ceiling above the shower , assuming it was to do with the fact the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working.

Cons:

I booked a room with parking. On arrival, there was no parking. I arrived around 7pm and when checking in there was no parking available. I said that i need to go and meet my customer for and go for dinner. if there is no parking when I return, there is no point staying at the hotel. The receptionist agreed with and insisted that I continue to check in. I did not even see the room, as I went to pick up my customer for a business meeting and dinner. I returned around 23h30 to be met with a different person at reception who said there was still no parking. I said to refund the booking which I said he would do so. 4 days have past and still no refund. The staff lied about the refund. So my advice to anyone booking a room with parking.. dont believe them. This hotel will take you money and lie to you about refunding you!!. Shame on you IHG and Holiday INN!!
