There are luxury hotels, & then there is the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. My husband Ray and I have been fortunate enough to stay in many beautiful hotels around the world, but nothing compares to the warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality we experienced here.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we reluctantly checked out, we were treated like family. Every single member of the team greeted us with genuine smiles, remembered our names, asked about our day, and made us feel so incredibly welcome. Wherever we went throughout the hotel, we were acknowledged with kindness and respect. It wasn’t just exceptional service—it was heartfelt hospitality from some of the most beautiful people we have ever met.

I was celebrating my birthday, and the Sofitel team created memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life. They completely spoiled me with two beautiful birthday cakes, thoughtful surprises, and the most incredible personalised birthday video from Chris and Gladys. The moment I watched it, I became so overwhelmed with emotion that I cried. It was one of the most thoughtful and meaningful gifts I have ever received, and it perfectly reflected the genuine love and care this incredible team puts into making every guest feel special.

As if that wasn’t enough, when we were leaving for Siem Reap, we were presented with a beautiful personalised farewell card featuring photos from our stay and heartfelt wishes for the rest of our journey through Cambodia. It was such an unexpected and touching gesture that perfectly summed up the incredible attention to detail and genuine care shown by everyone at Sofitel. It’s something we will treasure forever.

Such an enjoyable stay! The staff are top notch and we really had a good time here. The breakfast selection is good, and the complimentary drinks and snacks in the rooms is a nice touch.
I particularly enjoyed reading and relaxing with daily drinks and light snacks in the Club Millesime Lounge. The hotel grounds feel like an oasis in the city and I have fond memories of playing tennis at their Sports Club.

Ms. Keo was helpful in locating and assisting with our purchase and delivery of an electronic charger to the hotel. Vutha contacted the concierge at our next hotel to ask him to arrange sightseeing tours of interest.

Our transportation transfers and excursions booked through the hotel were well executed so we felt well comfortable and secure. As we waved goodbye to Keo, TV, Vutha and Vatey, I thought that I would love to stay here again. Overall, the service at the Sofitel Phnom Penh was consistently good and its staff are well trained to a 5-star level while keeping the charm of the Cambodian people.

I have traveled extensively and usually don't write reviews - however, my two sons and I visited the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra for two days this July before moving on to Siem Reap. The hotel, staff, amenities, food, atmosphere and location were simply amazing. The entire staff is so welcoming, hospitable and attentive. Our flight out of Cambodia was cancelled due to a typhoon in Hong Kong but thanks to Ms. Rida's assistance, we were delighted to be able to spend one additional night with our friends at the Sofitel. Mr. Vutha and Mr. Khim: thank you both for your graciousness during our visit. To the young woman who taught me how to feed Lionel: thank you! To the entire staff at the Sofitel - A la prochaine, les amis!

Service was great, even when they made an error in a food order they immediately rectified and didn't charge. A really enjoyable stay will definitely be back

I had a wonderful dining experience last week at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. The atmosphere was elegant, the food was exceptional, and the service truly stood out. A special thank you to Ms. Sreytouch for her warm hospitality and attentive care throughout the evening—she made our experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a refined and enjoyable dining experience in Phnom Penh. I will definitely be coming back!

I've stayed here a couple of times over the years but I feel every visit warrants a new review - and also because every stay experience just gets better! Of all the hotels (including the new ones popping up everywhere), I still like coming back to Sofitel because of the overall laidback-resort like atmosphere. Phnom Penh is such a busy city and whenever I get back to the grounds of Sofitel, it feels like a little oasis in the middle of the city, quiet and peaceful. The rooms are also spacious, comfortable, and full of amenities. In short, it's the kind of stay you can't get at the new types of hotels.
The staff at Sofitel are also extremely professional, well-trained, and very friendly, hospital, and helpful. I also like that they now have a buggy service to the nearby Aeon mall (not sure if they had it before). I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip, and I actually look forward to it.

A friend of mine recommended Fu Lu Zu to me and I'm so glad they did. The food was amazing and coming here for dim sum lunch was one of the best decisions I've made recently.

I remember one of the staff which is Sreytouch that made the experience truly special. She warmly guided us through the menu and recommended her personal favorites (the crispy shrimp rice roll and Ha Gao). Both were absolutely delicious and her genuine enthusiasm made the meal feel so much more personal.

Her warmth, attentiveness, and care left a lasting impression on us. Sreytouch is a true gem of the team and I'm already planning to bring more friends for the next reunion.

This is our second visit from Australia and the hotel is still exceptional. We have been made welcome from start to finish. The GM and his 2nd in charge were here to welcome people still here from our last visit remembered our names. (Just what you pay for). Club lounge staff Piseth ,Nita, Phano and Manet were as classy as ever. They go out of their way to make you feel part of the family. Stories about history and families are shared as it should be. Drinks are wet and always topped up. Exceptional.

As expected of the SOFITEL brand, this hotel delivers awesome service with great dining options and in a central location right besides an AEON mall.

As noticed during my stay, this is a highly popular hotel for business travellers and receives foreign and local dignitaries for high-level meetings constantly yet remaining a comfortable hotel for holidaymakers to have a quiet stay after visiting tourist spots. For breakfast, guests have a choice of Ala Carte options at the Chinese Restaurant or the International Buffet spread at the French restaurant, that's a great start to every morning!

Can highly recommend the spacious rooms here and great service by Lou-Anne, the Duty Manager who checks in on me daily and recommending me places to visit as it was my first time in the city with me ended up booking the hotel-organised trip to Oudong, chaperoned by Concierge Khim drove me there and became my unofficial guide to various sights on the way to Oudong.

Club Millesime was well-staffed by the likes of Piseth, Phanos and Nita who likewise delivered attentive service and goes the extra mile for special requests to ensure guest satisfaction. Thank you to Vatey and everyone mentioned earlier for this fabulous stay.

What a lovely, relaxing stay at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. The staff were so friendly and we were especially well looked after by Mr Thy behind the bar, Priseth in the lounge and Neath, TV and Nita in reception. The concierge couldn’t have been more helpful too.

It’s a good base to set out from for the sombre sights of The Killing Fields and the Genocide Museum.

The hotel food was great too. Highlights were the Japanese bento box at lunch and the delicious lobster roll in the French restaurant. But the best meal was our Italian dinner last night in Do Forni - amazing truffle risotto, entrecôte steak and panacotta as good as any Tuscan restaurant.

We will return.

The hotel also offers excellent activities and entertainment. We especially enjoyed the art exhibition opening, which allowed us to discover beautiful paintings in an elegant and friendly atmosphere. The evenings in the lobby lounge, enjoying delicious pastries and a high-quality wine selection while listening to a very professional and talented singer, were truly relaxing and enjoyable moments.

This was my 3rd stay at this hotel, and without question one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Their staff is over the top, Lou Anne and Salomon very especially helpful. Magnificent room, great food, relaxing and soothing bar area. New airport is quite far out of town so we were not able to linger over breakfast, but we will be back.
