The staff were friendly, good to have tea and coffee in the room. clean linen and towels. Great to have a receptionist on hand despite our late time arrival.
Booked on the day as we were exhausted and it offered late check out. Not told at any time either on the Booking.com site or on check in, that we were literally next to a building site where they could start at any time they liked. We were put in a room less than 3 meters from where they were working. The workmen arrived, and after a laugh and a chat, they started using a mechanical digger on caterpillar tracks at day break, and as it's a non-residential area. it's allowed. The machine was not only close, but as it above the level of the room window it felt and sounded like it was in the room. When I booked, it showed 3 other easily accessible rooms available at the hotel so I can't see why they had to put us at the nearest possible point to the contractors. The rest of the building angles away from the works and even the other side of the hotel corridor would have given a sound barrier between us and the contractors. The "Accessible bathroom" door was stuck part way open a wheelchair would not fit through. Couldn't risk having a shower the night we arrived as sign beside the bathroom said steam may set off fire alarm. Did notify the cleaners of our complaint, as they were the only staff around when we checked out early, despite advertising 24 hour front desk. ( no point trying to have coffee in the room with noise and people outside the window)The cleaners told us there wouldn't be anyone on the desk before 3pm, but they would notify the duty manager of our complaint. Booking.com can check and they will see I've never posted such a negative review. I wasn't expecting a 5 star stay in a budget hotel. I was expecting to be able to sleep past 6;30am and use a hot shower. I could have said a than I have.

I didn't like been charged twice . Was told by staff booking . Com had problem with there site which was a lie and had to pay again at the hotel and the money wasn't returned to date

We could not remove plug frpm basin. Next room we had, had no plug in basin. However we did not want to move rooms again
Friendly receptionist, clean and spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable beds.
No plug for the washbasin. No fresh milk, no biscuits. Bathroom decor shabby.
It was in a good location on our way to the tunnel
Very dirty. Didnt want to take a shower in the bathroom it was stained and dirty and it was full of insects. Had to kill about 5 before I could sleep in the room.
