We were expecting to stay in the Manor House.
We were given an ordinary motel room, nothing special about the room. We were extremely disappointed as we were the only guests staying that night.

The location was ideal as there is an excellent coffee shop and also a bakery right across the road. The coffee was five star
Personally there is nothing I thinkq they
Could improve. All the staff were so friendly and particularly the cleaning staff were very professional and and did a fantastic job if you
We ate at a lovely cafe across the road.
The location was central to our return visit to Christchurch and within walking distance to our friends.
Rooms were comfortable and showers were great.
The location was perfect after staying at St. George's as a patient. I needed an extra day to get over surgery, but not at a hospital level care.
Booking the room was a last minute decision. I asked the earliest I could check in & was told as soon as I was discharged from hospital. Karen phoned me directly to let me know.
Having another 24 hours in a peaceful beautiful place definitely helped me manage a long drive home.
The Peacock Suite was a perfect room for me. The comfy bed & pillows enabled me to have a good nights rest.
Karen was a lovely host & nothing seemed too much trouble. Definitely a place to stay again in Christchurch.
Nothing
Staff were friendly.
I thought we were staying in the Manor House but were in the rooms outside of the main building (similar to a motel). Had to keep the shades drawn as there are people walking outside the window. May have been that I didn't read the fine print :/
Great location for an easy and efficient trip into the city
The room which we had in the manor for 2 nights was too. small. It was hard to get past the mantle piece when getting out of bed and also. tricky to set up the ironing board. The table was very small also. We enjoyed spending the last night across the road in the unit.
We were made to feel very welcome. The room was clean and a nice size and the kitchen well equipped with a 2 burner stove. There were very nice stores and a number of pubs within easy walking distance. (The grocery store being superior.)
Unfortunately our room was right beside the road. We had ear plugs but if we hadn’t, it would have been an issue.
Clean, great location
Clean and tidy good location
Didn't quite get our booking right booked a spa bath ended up with a shower thought they unit was a bit overpriced for what it was
We had a modern studio unit in front of the charming old Merivale Manor House which dates back to 1880s.
Everything was perfect
Bus outside property that went to the city. Cafe across the road.
Room was very narrow and cramped. The room was upstairs and no lift so we had to lug our heavy suitcases up and down the stairs.
Fabulous
It was perfect
