I was in an upgraded room which was spacious and comfortable. The quality of the food was high, especially the cooked breakfast which unlike some other hotels was kept hot.
There are still some parts of the hotel in need of refurbishing.
Good bedroom and shower, good breakfast, good bar at back of hotel, easy street parking.
Very late opening for breakfast for anybody on business (7.30am), very weak internet in downstairs rooms
Grand hotel in an easy part of Greenock
This town is quite disappointing however the hotel made up for it.
The bathroom
The beds
Excellent facilities
A bit too far to walk from railway station on a rainy day
Great wedding venue. Very clean
No fans in rooms. Necessary in this extreme heat
It was a convenient stopping point between visiting friends either side of Scotland. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent.
We were unable to order a cocktail at the upstairs bar and couldn't use the 1808 bar, where they sold cocktails, due to a private function.
There was no towel rail in the bathroom to hang wet towels and it would have been nice to have had supplied a disposable shower cap.
The mattress on the bed was a bit tired, you could feel the springs.
Everything
Recently refurbed very clean and new
No air con in the heatwave
