Location, size of the room, staff and beds and shower
So noisy next to the kitchen and staff talking and noises late into the night
The rooms are advertised to sleep 3. I booked this for 3 of my workers. They were told on arrival that this was incorrect and had to book a separate room.
The room was large and comfortable. It had everything you needed. We appreciated having the air con given the heat. We didn't experience the noise others had commented on.
Overall a positive stay and value for money.
Overall a positive
We felt the entrance area before they rooms was a bit off putting and could do with some updating as could some aspects of the room.
Great room, quiet and the breakfast is the best ever, thank you
Great location, very clean and very comfortable beds!
Great food atmosphere and drinks downstairs as well.
It got a little noisy on Friday and Saturday night, but to be expected when you are staying above a pub.
Location
Very disappointing, they are refurbishing some of the rooms, which it clearly needs, but we were not aware of this when it was booked.
They were working in the room next to us when we checked in at 5pm on Friday evening, they were smoking in the room, which made our room smell. Then on the Saturday morning we were woken up to them working at 7am!!! Absolutely no warning about this, made the stay very disappointing!!!
There was an issue with room 15 which we asked for help with and staff worked to resolve immediately. The new room was very comfortable and we were very happy with it.
Room 15 (original room) was a bit of a shocker
very convenient location. Nice room friendly staff
Comfortable and king-sized bed. Food and drink in the dining room was excellent
The repetitive pulsing sound that was intrusive for some hours
Lovely bar area and food looks great. Nice spacious room with a very comfy bed.
The rooms need air conditioning really for the price paid. Ultimately, I think the rooms are over priced (at the weekend over the summer) but then everywhere we looked at in Berkhamsted is similarly priced.
Good location for what I needed, staff where great and really friendly
The room didn't feel clean, the bathroom was riddled with limescale not what you would expect from £135 a night room.
My room for 3 people was also smaller yet more expensive then my friends room who booked for 2.
Location
The mess and dust from workmen also not acceptable to be woken up at 745 am by builders starting work again how incredibly in consderate of the hotel .Ruined my evening and morning
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Great location but parking was a challenge!
It was a big room but nobody had thought about how anyone could charge their phone without shutting off the light by the bed . Great for a family (two tvs) but not for a single one night.
Nothing. Terrible place
The place was dirty. Staff were not bothered 😕
