Brilliant location
Pros:

Liked the location, central. Breakfast was good for the price. Liked the fact had an indoor pool and the fan in the room was a lovely find upon entry of the room.

Cons:

Cleanliness of the common areas. Work was being done that’s wasn’t disclosed prior to arrival. Upon arrival couldn’t get a car parking space and when asked where nearest public parking was met with was good luck trying find one with no indication or a map of the local car parks. Not helpful after 7 hours travelling. Also found out car parks was used by non patrons

Good hotel in the heart of Bournemouth
Pros:

Hotel in excellent location, just a few minutes from the BIC, shops and beaches. Very good price. Rooms were a little bit dated but immaculately clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom a bit on the small side but adequate space for our requirements. Quiet hotel apart from the seagulls at 6am which you would hear wherever you stayed. Will definitely use again. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

I would of preferred more choices for breakfast, maybe some fruit and yoghurts. We were offered full English by the waitress which both myself and husband opted for but I was quite disappointed with mine. There was adequate food on the plate, with both scrambled and fried egg, tomato, beans, hash brown, sausage, bacon and mushrooms but it wasn’t particularly hot. The scrambled egg was very bland tasting. The sausage looked very pale and could of done with more cooking. Bacon also seemed undercooked. There was also a flavour on the food which I can only assume came from the cooking oil or something like that which didn’t suit my palate. Despite all my comments, my husband ate all his breakfast. I had toast with marmalade which was fine and there were danish pastries and croissant available plus cereal. Coffee was also very good.

Short but very pleasant
Pros:

Location to venue was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Although areas are very tired looking the hotel is being renovated and updated, looking forward to going back to see how it’s progressing. The addition of its own car park is also a bonus.

Cons:

Nothing

The ongoing renovation obviously affects the overall operation of the hotel but the staff are doing their best.
Pros:

Great location

Cons:

It’s the only hotel in UK I’ve been in they had a ‘do not drink the water’ sign above the wash hand basin. They should have supplied water if that’s the case. When I asked the receptionist he said I was welcome to get water from the bar if I wanted!
Also they should have informed me about the ongoing renovation work before I arrived not when I got there.
