- Excellent location with lots of dining options around
- a good quality auberge if this is what you are looking for, with fridges at disposal and a shared dining area
- responsive fully online reception
- clean and quiet guests
- the price quality ratio was not interesting - 140€ per night for a room (chambre 8) without breakfast that remains very basic and not charming at all. We were mostly quite disappointed compared to the booking.com pictures which showed spacious and colourful rooms, ours was small and grey.
Perfectly fine for an auberge but not at this price - we still give it an 8 as our stay was during the fetes de la saint Jean which hopefully explain the high prices vs medium quality stay.
La salle commune et les équipements partagés
L'arrivée en totale autonomie et que tout se fasse par code
Location
The old staircase and wobbly railings. No humans on site.
Very beautiful place, well located close to the center of Quebec city, easy to access and comfortable rooms.
Nothing
Close distance to downtown and nearby many restaurant
Good set up for use of space, and had enough items in the kitchenette for a few days stay.
It's implied there's staff available, even for limited hours. There isn't. It's a remote check in. Other guests were under the same impression. There also NO ground floor rooms - the property is the 2st & 3nd floors of the building (others guests told us they asked for rooms on the lower floor- anyone with common sense would understand they assumed rooms would be available at ground level).
Getting in was difficult, as the entrance leaves no room to drop bags (too bad if it's raining). Steps are steep & the hand rails not particularly sturdy.
The instructions for finding the 3rd floor was incomplete & didn't clarify there was 2 sets of stairs from the 1st floor.
Once in, there's no issue.
Tot correcte. Molt tranquil el barri. La ubicació excel.lent.
The location of the hotel was excellent. The linens were clean and the bed comfortable. The common areas are nice.
Off site hotel staff. When we has a problem with the parking,it took a while to get hold of someone. The off site parking is very inconvient. The decor of the room was thrown together. Some of the furniture looked like it was pick up at a garage sale. The bathroom was small. Our room faced a noisy street and the room was too light at night. I could read a book with the curtains drawn and lights off.
Emplacement, propreté, équipements confort des lits, cuisine équipée, jolie décoration, garage pour la voiturr
Un peu sombre d'autant plus que 2 gtoupes de spots ne fonctionnaient pas.
The hotel was a good stay in Quebec, just a few minutes walk from the centre on Rue St Jean. We stayed there for a week in 3 rooms, and had all facilities.
One of the rooms' (4) bathroom was a bit humit and smelled bad.
Favolities
The bed
The location was absolutely what we were hoping for, coming from a place of unfamiliarity with Quebec City. There was SO much to do around it, it was an easy walk to most of the city (hills/staircases and all), and it got surprisingly quiet around there after hours, considering. The roof deck was incredible, and the hosts were very responsive and thoughtful to texts.
There was nothing about the Auberge that left anything to be desired. The Air conditioner squeaked a bit, but that's an easy fix. A white line and signage would be helpful between the two spaces behind the building so guests don't park in the middle (we had to negotiate with someone who didn't heed their instructions, but we got our car in, and the spot was incredibly convenient).
