Location convenient for us, food was good but lack of aircon made room uncomfortable
Pros:

location and facilities at the hotel were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good and food was very nice.

Cons:

It was an extremely hot week end and there is no aircon in room and very little ventilation.

Good location, needs a bit of TLC
Pros:

Great location and distance from main road. Thank you for the fan it was needed!

Cons:

It is starting to feel a little dated.
The bath was so slippy, both of us almost came a cropper.

Disappointing and no contingency in place for extreme temperatures
Pros:

Nice building

Cons:

- the staff weren’t very attentive or helpful
- the rooms were uncomfortably hot and without air conditioning. When we arrive the windows were shut and the temperature in the room was unbearable. All that was provided was a small fan which didn’t help at all. In this kind of heat complementary bottles of water should be provided. Instead we had to pay over £5 for one small bottle of water at the bar. Absolutely disgusting prices for water
- it was a double room for two yet only one biscuit was provided with the kettle facilities
- it was a twin room that clearly had the beds pushed together to make a double as the phone cable was in the middle of the beds and the beds weren’t inline with the twin headboards
- it was noisy and unclean
- the parking spaces were extremely narrow so everyone’s wheels near enough touches the lines both side making it difficult to get out of cars no matter what size you were. Too many spaces in one carpark but not big enough spaces
- over prices for a disappointing stay

Needed a convenient overnight room for the family and dog and this fit the bill.
Pros:

Room waas great for our family and dog. Breakfast was good. Allowed for some working from the foyer.
staff were really good, especially in looking after the hound when I needed to order food and drink. Secured car park was good.

Cons:

Breakfast had to be taken in the foyer as dogs not allowed in the restaurant, which was a first for us, but could be a problem for some travelling solo.

Meh
Pros:

Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean

Cons:

Beds were uncomfortable. Windows didnt open more than a few inches, very hot rooms with no ventilation. Breakfast selection for the size of hotel was very poor. Food not of a good standard. Lots of food options out of stock, cold or overcooked. Had to ask staff for glasses, cutlery etc. Clearly under staffed.

Hotel, staff and room all lovely
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Only disadvantage was cost of breakfast quoted at £17.50 each which seems excessive. Last year this was included in room price. We dined in Marco Pierre White restaurant, food underwhelming! Only 1 vegetarian option.

Would not stay here again
Cons:

The bedroom are dated, no sockets near to the bed, the tvs are 25 years old, a window that opens a 100mm in 37c heat is not acceptable especially with no ac! The directions to find your room are appalling.
I bar staff on a Friday and a Saturday evening to get a drink meant it was a crazy long wait.
It was so overpriced for the room - very disappointed !

Great hotel, great location.
Pros:

Beautiful building, lovely location and ample parking with coded security gate. Food excellent, bar facilities very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Signage from car park to reception very poor. Mattress reasonably comfortable but had a dip in the middle. Sunday morning breakfast staff seemed unable to keep everything amply topped up but were doing their best with a smile on their faces.

A lovely stay
Pros:

The free, secure parking was a real bonus. The hotel is easy to find and is in a very pleasant location. The room was large, well appointed and perfect for our stay.

Cons:

There was a school prom on when we were there and although it was no problem at all to our stay, it would be good to inform guests on booking
