We wanted to do two days at the Beamish Museum so it made sense to have an overnight stay, and the location, only a couple of miles or so from the museum was perfect.
All the staff we had contact with were extremely helpful, polite, friendly and clearly loved working there. The lady at reception even told us that there was a big group booking in the restaurant that night and told us the time it was booked, so we could then make a choice to go before or after that time. This worked perfectly for us. The food we had in the evening was first class. I opted for a lentil shepherds pie, as I dont eat meat and my partner had steak. We both had dessert. If you like sticky toffee pudding, dont miss out on this one, it is superb. The waitress said they were well known for it.
The room was immaculate, and we had asked for twin beds, which were very comfortable. Plenty of hot water too in the shower room.
We had a very decent breakfast in the morning to set us up for a lot of walking.
We were in a downstairs room and it was also great to be able to bring our car to park right outside the room.
I would highly reccomend to anyone wanting to visit the museum and/or other places in this part of the country.
Struggling to work out how to use the shower. However, i have the same issue everywhere I go.

Rooms dated and no parking space outside room even though they were notified in advance that we were travelling with someone with limited mobility in my opinion if you book a room you should be able to park outside it but no golfing people were allowed to park outside your room
The rooms are quite outdated and quite expensive.

Room was a good size and the Super King size bed was a treat, breakfast was good with full english option plus continental choices too, Sunday Lunch was excellent with everything cooked to perfection the desserts were also very good.
We were told that we could park our car round the back in front of our room which has patio doors so would have been very handy for unloading especially as I am walking with a crutch at the moment, sadly there was a car already there and we were told it was probably someone at the Golf Club, surely the space could be reserved for paying guests, it did move later on but we had already unloaded by then.
Bathroom towel rail far too hot and as it is near to the shower entrance it was easy to burn yourself, also too hot in the night and couldnt't find how to turn it off. These two points didn't spoil our stay as it was lovely just a bit of constructive criticism.
The whole staff team were brilliant, couldn't have been better, really friendly and accommodating. Lovely location with some fabulous walks right on the doorstep and really close to the fabulous Beamish Museum which is a full day out on its own!
Some parts of the hotel were a little tired and on need of updating, but Id rather have the brilliant staff and live with the odd blemish on the paintwork!
Hotel was lovely. Staff very friendly nothing was too much really helpful. We didn't eat at hotel due to other plans we had but breakfast smelled good. Hopefully we will get a chance to eat on our return visit . Loved we could park the car at our room and take luggage straight in instead of through the hotel . Definitely recommend and would stay again .

We had a very pleasant stay at Beamish Park Hotel earlier this week. The room was very comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the food was cooked to perfection. We will definitely stay again!
