Nice restaurant and bar for evening meals
Good breakfast.
Nothing specific.
The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice.
The location was perfect for us as we were visiting beamish
N
Cleanliness of room and other facilities was good.
Being able to park near room and having a door to parking area from bedroom .
Most staff pleasant
Not having access to garden room as advertised. Write up suggests a garden and outside space there is none other than a few benches on exits road from Hotel.
Waiting 35 mins for breakfast ,
Evening food was nothing special unfortunately so ate out after trying it twice.
Requested accessible room with space for mobility aid, room too small for that purpose fortunately I can use walking sticks sometimes otherwise it would have been a major issue. Also step from patio area to the parking area which is not ideal given it is an accessible room.
Noise from hotel building adjacent to room , bottle emptying early morning and also low continuous hum.
Not an issue but sends a message of their key business , hotel room door covered with drapes as the entrance to hotel rooms downstairs is fully decorated as a wedding with red carpet, flowered archways and signs for Mr & Mrs! Suspect the Garden room is the same but no access even though it looked like it had the best view. Talking of views, in the booking info it said room had a garden view, there is no garden or outside space visible other than the parking , there are trees which border the golf facility which borders the hotel .
Easy to contact and good communication, very pleasant staff, ideal place to stop.
We had a faulty patio door, but it didn't really affect us, informed the staff and said they would check it out, thanked me for bringing it to their attention.
Location was fab
It was all good
The room and facilities were excellent, the staff were amazing people, nothing was too much trouble, extremely helpful and very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we weren’t overly pleased with the breakfast, no choice of toast it was white bread, we are both diabetic and would rather have had wholemeal, and the cups were tea stained, even after asking for a clean cup the replacement was also dirty. I didn’t complain as the staff were so helpful that I didn’t want to upset anyone, they clearly worked extremely hard and well together. This wouldn’t put us off returning, it’s a beautiful hotel in lovely settings.
The cooked breakfast, the toast , no choice of bread and it was cold. It was advertised as full English breakfast, which clearly wasn’t, ours consisted of bacon, sausage, beans, mushroom and fried egg, there was no choice of poached or scrambled eggs, no hash brown, or black pudding. Having worked in catering I pick up on the little things that most people don’t, call me picky but these little things are the things that make things acceptable.
Convienient for Beamish Museum. Nice restaurant.
Bit too hot in the room at night.
The lovely view from the restaurant
Breakfast good ...nice staff
Room obviously had animals in before us ...so for me wasn't good as suffer asthma....bed not comfortable
We found the hotel rooms, roomy and comfortable.
