Very rude and dirty service
Toilet is very bad condition .stuffs are rude
I liked that it was central.
Had a Restaurant and Bar..
I didn't like that the corridors weren't hoovered.
Staff were lovely
to the point of the cleanliness, the shower was mouldy, the plug hole was black. Hair on the floor. I asked for a double bed we were given 2 singles pushed together- soo uncomfortable 😑 i wouldn't recommend anyone to stay
Location was great for restaurants and shopping. Walked to the soccer game. Breakfast was good.
This hotel needs alot of updating. The carpets were dirty and the walls were dirty. It just needs some TLC.
The location was excellent and the parking good
The breakfast was not very good and it was all large tables which I don’t like it felt like a canteen
The bathroom was unacceptable, there was Mold and chips in the bath , this room should not of been allocated Out. If I could get a refund. I will attach photos.
Exceptional staff who were very friendly and helpful.
Good breakfast.
This hotel is tired and needs some tlc, and unfortunately Wrexham has some issues which need addressing. Having an "off licence" directly opposite feeding some of these issues is not helpful.
Location
Arrived approx 7pm. No-one on Reception. Pressed bell numerous times before delightful young Lady appeared . Transpired she was the ONLY member of staff .... she ran the bar : served food : cleared tables as well as covering Reception .
Got our room , Huge disappointment .. booked a double bed got to single beds pushed together with a king-size fitted sheet and duvet on top.
Destroyed any romantic ideas we had and a terrible night's sleep. Room was small , plaster peeling off walls by bed and in bathroom . Rationed coffee tea and sugar . No double glazing , heard loud music from pub nearby. In morning condensation ran down old cold window
Breakfast toom very dated , old threadbare dirty carpet . Only one member of staff . Full English swimming in greasy fat.
Went to check out and lodge complaint but could not find staff member .
We left disgruntled , never to return .
Next day spoke to Duty Manager on phone regarding above . He apologised , said he would look into it and call me back ... He never did .!!!
Cheap and cheerful room.... Bar and Staff were fantastic on arrival and in the evening in the bar.
Room could do with a professional decorator/cleaner in as its clear from the walls as soon as you walk in are in a right mess and grubby. Not a good first impression but was only thee for the sleep and a shower.... Cup marks on the desk on arrival easily wiped off. Bed very comfy and bar /staff are great. Suppose get what you pay for...very good sleep.
cleanliness in room and state of the walls, grubby not a good first impression literally the first thing when opening the door couple inches (Rm.16)
Location and staff.
Absolute disgusting rooms. Booking.com should review this hotel and ask how they dare charge 185 for two nights in rooms that have not been updated in at least 50 years. I won't be booking with booking.com in a hurry.
Night staff was unhelpful and rude
Been Goint to the Wynstay in exess of 30 years.
Was there the morning Princess Diana was Killed and woke up with the shock that Rocked the World.
I Remember back it the 1960s the frontage you may see as a door was Actualy a tunnel / passage way for Horses as such.
Yes a magnificent building. The only Origonal structure is the verry front and the side wall along Charls St. Everything else was built it early 70s
