Disappointing stay – complaints dismissed and only a token refund offered
Pros:

Essaouira is a beautiful destination with plenty of good places to stay

Cons:

I stayed at this hotel in Essaouira and unfortunately left disappointed, mainly due to the poor cleanliness and upkeep — and even more so by how my complaint was handled.

The room was not properly cleaned on arrival. There were visible cracks across the floor, holes in the ceiling, dirty bedside lamps, and several squashed mosquitoes left on the walls and curtains — clearly not addressed before check-in. The restaurant was also a letdown, with food and service well below a reasonable standard.

What disappointed me most was the response when I raised these issues. Rather than acknowledging them, the hotel disputed my complaint outright. In the end, only a tiny fraction of the stay was refunded through Booking — a token gesture that didn’t come close to reflecting the state of the room or the experience overall.

Essaouira is a beautiful destination with plenty of good places to stay, but I couldn’t recommend this one. Genuine problems were met with denial rather than accountability, and that left the worst impression of all.

Antiguo Hotel de lujo que acusa el paso del tiempo.
Pros:

El personal es súper atento, el entorno es precioso y tienen bus lanzadera para que puedas ir a visitar la ciudad de Essaouira.

Cons:

El restaurante tenía una carta muy limitada y con un precio demasiado elevado para el tipo de comida que era.
Algunas instalaciones estaban desgastadas o directamente en obras.
