Please note the Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa is completely nonsmoking.

The spa opening hours are as follows:
Monday – Friday: 06:30 until 22:00
Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays: 08:00 until 20:00


Children's swimming times are as follows:
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays: 08:00 until 09:00 and 18:00 – 19:30.
During school holidays, 7 days a week: 08:00 until 09:00 daily

To use the swimming pool facilities during 10 am and 6 pm you need to book a 2 hours pool session in advance with the property.

No lifeguard will be present at the pool area.

The property has strict child supervision policies in place.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Beautiful location, great food ! but I do think it is overpriced for what it is and don’t think I would return.
Pros:

Very picturesque!

Cons:

For the cost of the night away it was very overpriced.

We asked to upgrade, was told we had and then we asked to upgrade to a suite told none was available but some was showing as available online.

Not much information around if we used the robes in our room to go down to the spa or if we had to get some down there had to go find the spa ourselves not much information given at check in.

Went to get a drink one person serving and queues for ages to get served.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard.

Orchard Charity Golf Day
Pros:

We held a Charity Golf Day on the 24th of June 2026. I can highly recommend this amazing venue. From start to finish I found everything very professional and a pleasure. All the staff where amazing and nothing was a problem. Great course, great venue and great staff. Thank you for making it a great day.

Hospitality the way it should be done.
Pros:

What a difference it makes when you have a team that smiles. the hotel staff, bars and restaurant made us very welcome from the start. Each area has its unique charm. Slice or sports bar as it sounds the hub of golf story’s with the tv screens running the latest sports. staff happy to serve you. The restaurant what amazing hospitality a great team working together. The pro shop easy but it’s not our fault we don’t understand the buggies are locked 20 minutes before. Golf’s all about being on time so when you try to be prepared on time is it not surprising that us old gits need a bit longer. But soon sorted.
The spa/pool area sorry needs a little upgrade again fantastic staff but the pool lounges need new cushions and the floor a deep clean in the changing rooms. But every single staff member was helpful smiling and talking with passion to help. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Perfect
Pros:

Lovely hotel , staff very friendly and helpful . Restaurant food was amazing . Spa and pool area very nice . Set in very scenic countryside . Could not have asked for a better stay . Would highly recommend.

Cons:

The only thing was no aircon in room .

Pros:

On a golf weekend with friends. Room has no air conditioning which makes for a very uncomfortable evening and no room service, so no replacement water despite 35 degree heat during the day. Food is good and staff are friendly and spa is nice. Golf courses are average at best.

12 Lovely Golf Ladies.
Pros:

12 Lovely Golf Ladies from Norfolk on a 2 night, 3 days golfing days stay. We had a fantastic time and all the staff were so helpful, especially from the Pro Shop.
The rooms were ideal with everything included to make or stay perfect. Plenty of choice for evening dinner.
Thank you Jessie Taylor for all you communications and emails to keep me updated.
We will definitely be retuning again.

Golf break
Pros:

Fantastic service from all the staff both in the hotel and the golf shop. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The only thing I would like to see would be a simplified evening menu with more classic style food.

Comfortable and peaceful.
Pros:

It was a peaceful environment. Very big room and very comfortable beds. Nice shower and very clean. Lovely staff.

Cons:

View of the room to the car park. Air conditioning not working in the middle of a heatwave. This was very disappointing. They offered a fan but too noisy so we didn’t sleep well as it was too hot.

If you want to feel relaxed and special “ you’re in right place”
Pros:

We have have just spent a beautiful 2 days break here. The spa was clean and welcoming, plenty of loungers.
We ate in all the restaurants and the staff were attentive and professional naming Bec in the sports bar as one member who made us feel special. The most outstanding person on our visit was Giuseppe in the breakfast rooms, always a welcoming smile and attentiveness.

Rob, the duty manager rectified a very small complaint regarding the cleaning of our room with the utmost professionalism .
Will definitely revisit.
