Pros:

Pros:

Location was convenient for trips to Galway, Connemara, the Burren etc. Great pool and gym. Very good breakfast. Large rooms. Restaurant next door fine

Overall, a nice-looking hotel with excellent staff, but unfortunately let down by poor soundproofing, disappointing brea

The friendly and professional staff, the pleasant atmosphere and the overall appearance of the hotel

Cons:

The hotel itself is nice and has a pleasant appearance, but unfortunately, there were several things that disappointed me.

The bathrooms look more like hospital bathrooms than those of a hotel, which really takes away from the overall experience.

The soundproofing is also very poor. You can hear practically everything through the walls — even someone sneezing or making other small noises in the room next door. This was quite disturbing, especially when trying to relax or sleep.

The breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. I personally try to eat healthy, but there was practically nothing suitable for me. There were no vegetables, no salad and very little choice overall. It was mainly a traditional Irish breakfast, and even the omelette was not tasty.

The selection was extremely limited, and the coffee was honestly terrible.

However, I have to mention that the staff were excellent — very friendly, helpful and professional.

Raheen Woods was a pleasant stay with a good restaurant.
Pros:

We were so grateful for an earlier check-in time. We arrived in Shannon at 5am from the US and were able to rest a while before beginning our explorations of Athenry.

Cons:

It was a little noisy at times with the sounds of water through the pipes. However, it wasn’t very crowded so the sounds were minimal.
