Pros:

It's just 3 minutes walk from the Warnemunde HBF and right next to the Canal. It's in the old town and a short walk to the beach and the lighthouse. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable.

Cons:

The shower is a quarter circle shaped glass enclosure. The space is so small that a person has to keep the upright standing position during the shower.
There is an elevator, but it moves slowly.

Wie immer ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt

Wir waren schon mehrmals im "Hotel am Alten Strom". Deshalb wußten wir, was uns erwartet. Das Personal in der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und half mit viel Geduld, unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. "Mittendrin" und für Bahnreisende ideal. Kurzer Weg vom Bahnhof über die Brücke und schon ist man da. Das Einzelzimmer hatte alles , was man brauchte. Einen kleinen Balkon, Kühlschrank, Tresor , Kosmetikspiegel und Kosmetiktücher, gute Beleuchtung im Bad. Sogar einen "richtigen" Nachttisch mit Schublade, in dem man Persönliches gut unterbringen konnte. Zum Strand läuft man ca. 8 Minuten. Wir können das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Cons:

Das Bett ist relativ schmal und steht aus Platzgründen mit der Längsseite an der Wand. Aber man gewöhnt sich daran.

Enttäuschender Gesamteindruck!

Die Lage ist natürlich toll, das Personal ist sehr freundlich!

Cons:

Da man das Zimmer im DG nicht lüften konnte, hatte ich trotz Aussentemperaturen von 18 Grad, nachts noch 25 Grad im Zimmer (Ich habe immer ein Thermometer dabei) und man konnte kaum pennen. Auch die klassischen Seefahrtsgeräusche tuen ihr Übriges, das ist allerdings auch irgendwie charmant, vor allem die meckernden Möwen ab 05:00h morgens.

Very convienient hotel, perfect for people arriving by rail.
Pros:

The location of the hotel is very central and the seaside, cafes, bars and railway station are all a walkable distance. the hotel is very clean and the service polite and helpful.

Cons:

The bed was quite hard and the neighbouring room doors slam shut, creating a lot of disturbance.
