Welcoming and friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good lounge / bar facilities.
5 minute walk from the main town of Usk, over the picturesque bridge.
Nothing much to dislike.
V good location, food and staff were lovely and friendly
Being on the top floor the room was extremely hot despite having all the windows wide open and the fan on 24/7. Probably should have requested a lower floor room and one with a walk in shower as due to our mobility issues it was difficult getting in and out of the bath to use the shower. Expect we might have been offered a change of room but we were only there for a couple of nights so it wouldn’t be worth the hassle.
Excellent
Probably needed one more person on front desk
Beautiful hotel , great breakfast and lovely staff
Beautiful building and grounds near the centre of USK.
Comfy, clean room and good ensuite.
Quiet location. Plenty of parking.
Good cooked breakfast.
Used on-site Restaurant as that looked promising, but was mediocre at best for the money.
Would stay again but walk into Usk for a pub meal.
The older staff on site were excellent, but younger ones lacked any enthusiasm.
The hotel was excellent. All of the staff were charming and incredibly helpful. The food was good. The location was extremely convenient. In the short period of our stay we walked up pen y fan, visited Raglan castle, swam in Kepper's pond etc.
it was perfect
Relatively lovely grounds and nice furnishings in the main body of hotel and room. Breakfast good.
Dinner was too late and too expensive given we had young children (3 and 5).
Location was excellent a short walk away from Usk itself
The staff were excellent in every way
The hotel building was excellent with some great architectural aspects
The room itself was nice but small bathroom not much space between toilet and bath
And it's only my preference but the bed was quite soft
Nice bar but unfortunately no food unless there is a chef on not even some sandwiches or rolls
Lovely breakfast and would gladly go back
And will be
The hotel was close to the center of Usk. The grounds were very attractive.
1. The windows in the room did not open it was very stuffy on arrival.
2. The shower was limited to overhead washing and there was no shower cap.The only other option was to take a bath which is a waste of water.
3. We brought our dog with us. The charge and the amount should have been disclosed arrival. ( We were charged £25 for one night which seems very unreasoable.
4. There was only one hand towel in the bathroom .
5. The bathroom only had a skylight window that opened. No pole was supplied to enable the guest to open it.
All very clean and and well kept.
The food in the restaurant was exceptional.
As older visitors we would have like a hand rail to help get into and out of the bath/shower.
Everything exceeded our expectations. Splendid location, quiet and peaceful. The room was very large, beds were confortable and toilet was spotless.
Staff was extremely pleasant, professional and well trained.
One of the best 4stars we've ever stayed in the UK.
Nothing I can think off. We liked everything. Can't wait to return.
