Great stay
Pros:

Well located, comfortable bed, nice and professional staff, and the rooms have aircon which was a welcome amenity with the warmer weather.

Best Hotel Stay Ever!
Pros:

Our stay at the lovely Pembroke Kilkenny was absolutely amazing. It was our best hotel stay ever! Can't say enough good things about it! From the moment we walked through the door and were greeted by the fabulous Sara and Finnian we felt so welcomed and at home in a country we had never been to before. The property is spotless, the room was just perfect. The included breakfast is delicious and the dining staff are also so very friendly, kind and accommodating. The location is fabulous, walking distance to everything in the beautiful town of Kilkenny. Thank you so much to the staff at the Pembroke for an outstanding holiday. We can't wait to return!

Hübsches Hotel, gute Lage wenn ein Auto vorhanden ist. Eigenes Pub.
Pros:

Ein Hotel mit Stil, sehr schöne Einrichtung. Personal reagiert schnell auf Wünsche.

Cons:

Bei heissen Sommertagen wäre eine Klimaanlage im Zimmer gut. Oder das vollständige Öffnen der Fenster sollte gewährleistet sein.

Me and my 23-year-old son who recently graduated from UNH
Stayed at the Pembroke Kilkenny from July 8 to July 10, 2026 At the start of a 10 day vacation in Ireland.
The property is essentially located on Patrick Street in Kilkenny.
There is a parking lot with limited spaces in the back of the hotel, which is where we parked our Volvo. It can be a little challenging if Your frame of reference is big American parking lots.

Checking in was relatively easy. The hotel room had that we got had three beds and it was clean and well furnished With a refrigerator, a tea kettle In an iron and ironing board.

The bathtub shower is an old-fashioned Irish kind which is elevated off the floor so you have to climb him up into the tub to get in and it can be a little tricky because you May have to hold onto the :towel rack step down from the tub.
Because of the Irish heat wave that we were experience experiencing during our trip the room temperature got a little warm, even though there was air-conditioning.
We ate at the restaurant for breakfast twice and the food was excellent and the service was excellent.

There is no gym in the hotel but they have access to some other Jim but you have to pay a fee of like €12 for a day pass.

The hotel is in proximity to all the primary Kilkenny tourist attractions like Kilkenny castle.

Overall, I recommend staying at the Pembroke Kilkenny hotel.

Hotel was great and staff friendly and it was an excellent central location. Food in Stathams was absolutely fantastic.

Cons:

I booked an executive king room but it was quite small and even though the bed was big, it just felt like a standard room. A little disappointed as it was my partners birthday and I wanted something special. We parked in car park and when checking out the car was completely covered in sap from an overhanging tree, whole car was sticky. We said it to staff when checking out and one of the staff seemed aware of it and said it happened for 6 weeks. We asked if there was a car wash near as needed to get the car cleaned as soon as possible. They never even offered to take anything off the bill as couldn't have driven home with the car on the state it was in with heat of the sun. It was disappointing that they were aware of the sap coming off the tree in the first place and never told us when we were parking the car.

Great location for a visit to Kilkenny.
Pros:

The location is excellent to shops, restaurants and the Kilkenny Castle. The morning breakfast is excellent. A choice of menu items plus extras. Good value.

Party of five
Pros:

We were a party of five lady cousins coming together to celebrate the big birthdays. From the moment we arrived in Pembroke to the moment we we have never experienced such excellent customer experience. Each member of staff was so genuinely helpful and we were made to feel so welcome. Thelocation of the Pembroke is excellent we walked the whole weekend. Our dinner was included as part of the package and I have to say it was out of this world. The of the food was superb we are going back. It was so good.
