Kilkenny Pembroke Hotel

Location fab for a family reunion. Central for people coming from Dublin airport and within Ireland from Kildare, Wexford and Dublin. Kilkenny is a beautiful city.

The location is excellent and the service is exceptional. The friendly staff landed us an upgrade with a beautiful view of Kilkenny Castle.

Nestled conveniently downtown, the Pembroke was an excellent stay for us. Front desk staff was very attentive and friendly. Gated parking behind the hotel was extremely convenient as I don't know where else we would have parked in the city. Our room was a triple, which meant three twin size beds: a little unusual, but it did the trick for the night. Air conditioning worked extra well, which was great considering how hot Ireland was when we visited. Overall, an excellent stay.

This was a wonderful place to stay. All staff from check in to wait staff were super helpful and went above and beyond! Food and drink were superb. It was also walkable to many things. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

La posizione è davvero ottima: si trova in pieno centro, a pochi passi da Kilkenny Castle e da tutto ciò che serve. Si cammina comodamente ovunque.

La stanza mi è piaciuta molto: confortevole, pulita e spaziosa, con un buon letto. Nel complesso l’ho trovata molto gradevole.

Nel complesso resta una buona scelta, soprattutto per la posizione e la gentilezza dello staff, ma per arrivare al 5 pieno servirebbero qualche attenzione in più nelle camere.

Loverly hotel, very clean room and hotel generally, good bar and good breakfast. Very nice friendly and helpful staff.
Location could not really be better and parking provided free of charge.

Wir hatten ein Triplezimmer zum Innenhof raus, was auch gut war, da es ruhig war. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Die Möbel sind nicht mehr ganz neu. Betten sehr bequem. Leckeres reichhaltiges Frühstück.

We had no trouble driving here after landing at Dublin at midday. Excellent, safe parking, great reception and a STUNNING adjoining room suite for us and our adult kids with their 9 month old. The automated lighting and shades were very luxurious. Spa-like bath room, mid-century modern sofa area with huge panoramic windows views of the city and Kilkenny Castle. Centered in the heart of town but so quiet. We kept ourselves awake until 8pm and then slept 12 hours…even the baby! Splendid breakfast in the dining room…all in all, it was like a spa recovery day and we didn’t even get to try their spa!

Great location for a stay in kilkenny. Have stayed here a number of times and have never been disappointed. A gem in the heart of kilkenny.

Conveniently located

I'm sure I'd have loved this hotel at any time of the year, but I do have to preface this review by noting that the air con in the room was nice and cold. I hate that I now have to check on air con whilst traveling in the summer, even in Ireland, but here we are.
Still, there's so much more to recommend this hotel than *just* air con. The staff is friendly, professional, and highly welcoming. My mum and I had just flown into Dublin early in the morning and booked an early check-in, which we received as promised. In the meantime, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with great breakfast tea in the bistro.
The room was incredibly comfortable and had a great view of the castle. It was an ideal refuge after a hot day walking around.
The location was ideal, especially for the bus stop if one is traveling that way. Everything in town is also just minutes away. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, especially in the summer when such cool and comfortable rooms are not always easy to find in a country that never used to get such heatwaves.
