Quiet restful stay in the heart of Kilkenny with gourmet food.
Pros:

We arrived late on Saturday evening in stormy conditions. While we were taking our suitcases out of the boot, a member of staff came out of the side door and asked if we needed help. He then led us into the hotel to reception. This was a lovely touch.
The food is sublime. The care taken to make the simplest of dishes, such as scrambled eggs, is amazing. Breakfast and dinner were a joy. No need to book any other food in town. Even the sandwiches looked divine.
The staff go above and beyond to be helpful. They all look happy to work there. The room cleaner even put my daughters teddy to bed when she finished making the beds!

Cons:

The door of the bathroom is glass, so if a guest goes to toilet during the night the light wakes the other guest/s. Could there be a small light in the bathroom/mirror light so that the full light does not have to be used?

Exceptional
Pros:

The price was very reasonable and they even upgraded my son and I to two suites! Parking right next to the building. Very easy to find and close to everything! Our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer!

Great location and staff but the room I had just did not meet my expectations.
Pros:

Great location, very good room service and restaurant. Fantastic staff - couldn't be more helpful. Parking was easy and was helped with luggage. Very clean room and a generous bar fridge.

Cons:

We had air conditioning problems that were not properly resolved during our stay. We had to change rooms and then return to our room to find the air con was not working in one room. Storage space was not the best. It is as though provision is made for one suitcase only and not much room for unpacking. I know there are bigger and better rooms than the one I had and I guess I have to be fair about the room I booked. I would book a bigger one next time. They did give me an upgrade, which was wonderful.

Lovely night in a great location, hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant
Pros:

Everything, great location, secure parking, large rooms, comfortable bed, great breakfast

Cons:

Went to use the restaurant for dinner and was turned away, fair enough as we didn’t book but the staff member seemed happy about that and didn’t offer a later time or mention reservations, also calling me “my dear” Is a little patronising.
