Comfortable bed, great location on a canal, coffee/tea and water in the room, handwritten note of welcome, robes, slippers, etc. Kind staff. Very clean. Umbrellas available to borrow. We happened to be there on a day that they could accommodate an early check-in and we were grateful after a long international flight.
Our standard double room was a little dark as an interior room. Would recommend front rooms with view of canal. Nice that mini bar was included at no cost but would love other options besides Fanta and Coke to really make that a value-added item. Sparkling water and a beer or two perhaps? Breakfast was good but expensive and we would have loved more of a buffet style set up as staff was busy and service a little slow.

The only issue would be the small tile step beside the tub which was very hard to see making it easy to trip on or fall off.
The bedding was lovely but made us sweat while sleeping even with air conditioning on.

My room didn’t have electrical outlets where they should be (besides the bed and desk area). There was in the bathroom and other just at the entrance door (at the same level of my face).
Property is historic but modernized in a way that maintains the charm. The bed and bedding were just what I needed after a long flight. The hair and body supplies were outstanding. The espresso in the restaurant was excellent - and I’m a coffee snob.
