Lekker hard bed, vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt, veel lampen op de kamer.
geen airco maar wel ventilatoren. Maar heel veel muggen en er is geen hor. De kamers zijn ook erg gehorig (het is een oud gebouw)

Excellent location for taking the ferry to Newcastle, beautiful and vast gardens surrounding the hotel, great parking facilities and free EV charging point, breakfast was great and tasted even better on the terrace in the sun facing the garden. Staff were friendly and ready to help when we requested a room with a window overlooking the garden. The place is dog friendly which is a bonus when you're travelling with a pet - again, the park around the hotel was fabulous for dog walking.
There was no restaurant in the hotel and the one next door was very pricey. We found a place nearby but the food was not very good.
De lokatie bij de universiteit was erg prettig en het hotel zelf, met parkeerplaats en tuin, ontbijtzaal en fijn personeel was uitstekend. De kamer was fijn hoog en er was ruimte om nog te werken voor de presentatie voor de volgende dag. De ramen konden open worden gezet om frisse lucht binnen te laten
Qua hygiene niet zo goed omdat er nog een oud gebruikt washandje hing, er gebruikt wc papier op de grond lag achter het toilet. Dat gaf geen prettige lucht noch aanblik.
Mooi met de nodige nostalgie…
Geen airco, klein mobiel toestel dat onvoldoende was is.

De ligging bij een park
Bedden
Veel muggen en motten alsook het bad was nog vuil. Geprobeerd dit af te vegen zonder schrobben en dit kwam er probleemloos af, met andere woorden het was niet deftig gekuist.
Het was een heel rustige omgeving. Ruime kamer; vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt met de mogelijkheid desgewenst extra wensen in te dienen Ik geef niet snel waardering 10 maar hier klopte alles.
Als ik toch iets moet opmerken: het is al een aantal jaren gelden dat de kamers gerenoveerd zijn, dus het doet een tikkeltje ouderwets aan. Maar dat is ook authentiek bij "Kasteel". Want het is absoluut NIET verouderd. Alles is piekfijn bijgewerkt.
Great location. Situated within a beautiful park with good walking routes all around. Great parking right outside. Spacious room with a view over the gardens. Most of all they were so welcoming for our dogs. Great restaurant next door for evenings with others very close by.
