the staff were all excellent and helpful, breakfast buffet was well stocked and hot.bar prices were good.very pleasent spot next to the river.
the only thing i would say that the down stairs needed a more thorough dust I'm just being picky, lights covers and side of stairs.
we are returning visitors and very satisfied with the experience, good breakfast, lovely situation with the river and views of the surrounding countryside.
rude awakening with fire alarm as we only got in at 0200 so were woken at 0820 with a bit of a shock, however the owner was very appologetic and we were happy with that.

The garden area and car park area was a good size.
The rooms are dated, the air con was hit and miss.
And I wish I never paid the extra for riverside as I was looking at a couple of branches in a steam.
We really enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be super friendly, the food was really tasty and good value for money. Our room was clean and there was an overall good vibe in the hotel, bar and restaurant. It's also perfectly positioned for visiting local attractions and places of interest. Would definitely return.
There was nothing we didn't like, we had a lovely 2 night stay.
