Home from home feel
Beautiful village location. Friendly and helpful owner.
The pub itself was closed and therefore no breakfast was available but was directed a few doors away to a local cafe which did an excellent breakfast.
Woburn is a really beautiful place.
Woburn abbey closed and therefore the village itself was suffering a lack of visitors.such a shame as a really lovely place.
Not much
Most of it
We were refused service at check-in simply because we travelled with our dogs. I called 4 days in advance three times, twice to explicitly confirm their pet policy and the third time to advise I had made the booking so we would be allocated one of the dog friendly rooms . Staff assured us over the phone that bringing our dogs was absolutely fine and we had been allocated a courtyard room which was dog friendly.
Upon arrival the man on duty who advised he was the owner! showed zero empathy or flexibility, he advised he was not aware we had dogs and had no dog friendly rooms left and refused to let us stay as the other rooms had carpets. When I advised him I had called and showed him my call log, he stated as I didn't have the name of the people I spoke to then I had no proof what I had talked about. He also advised he had no idea who was working that day as they don't have a staff rota so would have no way of finding out who I spoke to!!! Even if he did find out who I spoke to they could lie and deny the conversation took place.
As it was a bank holiday weekend they left us stranded without accommodation with absolutely no notice. We had no option but to turn around and drive 3.5 hours home. The customer service was cold, rigid, and completely unhelpful. A modern establishment should be more clear about its policies or accommodate paying guests. Avoid this place if you view your pets as family.
To make matters worse, they resorted to blackmail. They threatened to withhold our refund if we posted a negative review. This is an unethical, deceitful way to run a business. They try to trap your money to hide their own mistakes. Avoid this place at all costs. They clearly do not care about their customers.
It was quiet in a lovely little village
Nothing

My room was noisey as at the front near the main road
Location good.
Shabby. Everything needs updating. No breakfast available.
Extremely fast wifi, great location & friendly staff. They upgraded me for free which was nice.
Window didn’t stay open so I had to prop it up with the bin, very tired room. A bit dusty. The shower was atrocious and stone cold for literally 5 min then all of a sudden so hot it scalded me and I had to jump out, then stone cold again. Took me about 10 min to figure out the temperature. FIX YOUR PLUMBING! Weirdly nowhere to hang a towel. Doesn’t need loads spending on it just a bit of minor maintenance really
Everything. Made to feel welcome. Quality hosts
