There is no food on site but there's a number of lovely eateries within walking distance. Rooms were clean and comfortable, I had the larger room next to the emergency exit. Beds were soft, clean and comfortable and it was very quiet. The rooms were in an old inn so floors were wonky and beams were low (I was at the top of the Inn) but I loved this about the place, made it charming.
I didn't not like anything!
Location I needed was good
No staff around to drop bags can only get keys after 3pm
Bed very firm not comfortable for me
I messaged in advance requesting a room away from traffic noise.
However:
- no reply was received - I'm not sure they read the message
- I was sadly allocated a room with window onto the High street
The location was lovely very peaceful
The property was very dirty, cobwebs every where , a build up of grime and dust on surfaces and appliances especially kettle tv mirrors light switches and skirting boards . The bathroom was very mouldy and smelt damp and the towel rail was hanging off the wall by the screw. The bed was very uncomfortable and hadn’t been washed or changed as had hairs and stains on bedding . Really didn’t feel comfortable staying here and definitely would not recommend . Not worth the money felt and looked more like a hostel rather than a hotel . It’s a shame as the building itself had character being old . Owners need to close for a week or two and give the place a REAL DEEP CLEAN
Lovely old building and in the middle of Woburn. Great value.
Steps to room are quite steap for for someone who is less able.
The location was perfect for my needs.
The reception was rambling and confused. It wasn’t very welcoming at all.
I had a single room, but this one was so small and pokey it wasn’t comfortable and it was poorly decorated. The whole place could do with a revamp.
Sorry to report that this pub is not what it may have been previously. Photos on Booking.com show quite a nice bar area…. I have no idea where that is because it does not exist now. Just a small, very dark grim looking bar.
Our room was room 9. Right up the top of two flights of stairs. Which is fine except it’s very hot up there. There were four windows. Three of them are painted shut . The one that opened wasn’t enough for +20c heat.
The outdoor garden area… isn’t terribly inviting.
Sorry, not a good experience for us. No food available.
Location
Owner bar main
Rude
Hotel needs investment and new manager
It was close to the restaurants and other pubs and the golf course
It doesn’t resemble the photos. The room had four windows but three were painted shut. One window that opened in 31c heat. One small fan… doesn’t help.
The bar was a small, dark room with no lights. Grim.
The linen was clean. The beds are pretty basic. It’s cheap.
brilliant clean large room
i only don't like parking or driving out however the owner can do nothing to change that
Very convenient location . Reasonably priced.
I think this hotel needs to up its game as its location is in a prime spot in a desirable area amongst much better quality establishments.
Everything is tired and a bit dingy, the bar was closed early on our return, this on a Saturday night and not open on Sunday night either , it was the World Cup final too! .
Also the landlord could be a bit more welcoming.
Quirky traditional and unique friendly and quiet
Not he hotels fault we were going through a heatwave but keeping the rooms cool was impossible
The area was ok
Mould in bathroom, smelt reall6 bad.
Bed was uncomfortable.
Room was too hot window opened a small amout
Restaurant was not open at all, even though is said it should be.
No staff on site during the day
Was booked for 2 nights only stayed for one
Location
Dingy rooms; no a/c, no fan available to help..really not impressed
Friendly staff, clean room
Bed wasn't that comfortable
