Location
Non availability of food.
The room we were given had a bathroom that stank of stale urine. we questioned this and were given another room. This was better but at the top of some steep stairs. This was awkward for my disabled partner.. We were charged £25 extra for a one night stay because we had a dog with us.
Tried many many times to contact the place by phone and never had the phone answered. While it was an adequate place to stay, it needed some work in places to bring it up to scratch.J
Very cosy place. Staff friendly and helpful.
Rooms were comfortable with good facilities. No air con but a large fan helped
No breakfast option on site except on weekends from 10 am. although the website says there is breakfast. Once you booked in the only way to speak to staff was to wait until the pub was open, the phone went to voicemail
CLean and tidy
To did not work no channels and fire stick batteries had run out
Great place.
+ Friendly staff
+ Super clean
+ Comfy bed
+ Surrounding area felt safe to walk around and was beautiful!
+ Lovely room
Clean bedding and towels nothing else.
The place was run down. Dirty glasses, order coffee told machine broken, no orange juice for breakfast. Chairs broken and dirty. Outside by are run down all plant dead and lots of weeds no staff and the one they did have no personality or customer service skills. I feel there's no future for this pub.
We enjoyed location and that it was accessible.
There was mould in the shower and the bed was very uncomfortable, landed up sleeping on the floor
Welcoming and friendly staff.
Booked ground floor, but was given room above pub. Would stay again.
Good location and cute motel like rooms facing courtyard. Extremely clean.
Decor a little jaded in the bathroom, but v clean and comfortable.
Mattress a little hard!
The bed was comfortable. It was hot so I slept on it, not in it. I had the windows open all night. Very close to main road so very noisy - but when I took out my hearing aids it was quiet and I slept soundly!
I thought that it was in Abingdon but actually 4 miles away. So I had to get a taxi costing £15. The taxi driver did not know where it was - I had to tell him the postcode. The website doesn't explain this. Also, in the morning I seemed to be the only person there. The front door was locked but I found my way out at the back.
Great location in a small village with local Amy
Nothing
Location is great, quiet village. Staff are friendly, rooms old style but comfortable and do what you need. Food in the pub is great and reasonably priced.
The room was separate from main in a nice court yard
The staff had forgotten that we were bringing a dog despite confirming at least twice before hand and also sending dog food
Close to the Cotswolds
Last orders at 9pm & at 9.05 we were rushed to finish our drinks! Staff were not very welcoming
