Amazing stay with great view and delicious foods
Pros:

Such an amazing serene location away from the chaos of the town. The rooms are huge with great view of the river and the surrounding hills. The food was really delicious. We enjoyed the pool by the riverside.

Lovely stay
Pros:

Everything thing was good, no complaints at all, big and clean room with beautiful view. The pool was great, food was tasty and versatile, halal and vegan options were available. The staff were polite, friendly, always meet you with a smile on their face especially Dinushi, Akansha, Anusha from the reception, Sasi, Sayantha, and Duminda from the restaurant.

Bad do not stay here
Pros:

Very disappointing experience at Cinnamon Citadel. During check-in, the room allocation was handled poorly. Couples were assigned twin/single-bed rooms while guests requiring separate beds were given double-bed rooms. Despite highlighting the issue, no meaningful room upgrade or satisfactory resolution was provided.

The rooms themselves felt dated and in need of renovation. Dining timings were also inconvenient, with both dinner and breakfast services ending by 9:30 PM/AM, leaving little flexibility for guests. To make matters worse, there was no in-room dining available after 11 PM.

Overall, the service and room management did not meet the standards expected from a hotel of this reputation. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Good service and facilities close to Kandy
Pros:

We stayed in June 26 as part of a 12 day tour of Sri Lanka arranged by Trailfinders. We have been spoilt a little so far as the other hotels we have stayed in were very quiet but this was the weekend and pretty busy with families. The room was very good and the food and service good, just a bit more under pressure than Habarana and Negombo. Staff who deserve a mention (as they have taken the trouble to give me cards with their names on ;-) are Nanjini, Thiloka, Akansha, Sadi, Rohana, Sanjeeva, and Shiyan.
Nice touch whoever dressed our bed on our second night, thanks!
