We have been staying at this hotel every time we visit Bangkok for many years. Our repeated stays have been the results of the hotel's good location and great service provided by the staff. However, our stay and experience this time left us with disappointments. It appears that this hotel has experienced a turnover of management and staff in many functional areas that the "personal-touch" service has been lost. Our experience this time found many things to be impersonal and "mechanical", as well as a systemic breakdown with the hotel's room assignment. We still love the delicious food and great service being provided by the dining staff. Hope this hotel will change for the better.
I would like to share my recent experience, as it was unfortunately far below the luxury standards expected, especially from the brand.
Upon arrival around 6 PM, during check-in, the agent requested a deposit. We informed her that we preferred to pay On spot and don’t post anything on the room. Her response was, “Sorry, this is not allowed, but since it’s your first visit I will allow it.” The way she said this felt rude and not professional.
She asked whether we were celebrating any occasion. My husband mentioned that we were on this trip to celebrate my birthday (which had been two days earlier). Although she wished me a happy birthday, there was no further personalized gesture. There was no acknowledgment from the butler, no welcome card in the room, and no meaningful recognition of the occasion.
We requested a nightly upgrade to a golf course view, which was confirmed, but the room was mainly a pool view with only a partial golf view; if it could not be provided, it would have been better to decline it, and although I had added a preference for a high-floor room in my profile, I was assigned to the 17th floor, which did not match my preference.
Despite being Marriott elite members (Titanium and Platinum), we did not feel recognized or valued. We were not addressed by our first names, even though we had expressed this preference to the front office. Additionally, the farewell card left by the butler mentioned our last names instead of our preferred names.
Regarding the room condition, the overall cleanliness and maintenance did not meet luxury standards. It would be advisable for the property to undergo renovation. Small details also reflected a lack of attention to guest preferences. For example, I had arranged the pillows aside according to my preference, but they were placed back on the bed upon returning to the room.
During our two-night stay, there were welcome amenities, but no welcome card and no turndown service on either evening, despite turndown amenities being expected.
Overall, it did not feel like a luxury hotel. I really like the brand, so this stay was very disappointing.
My recent stay at the St. Regis Bangkok was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, the experience was defined by sophistication and warmth.
• The Room: I was incredibly grateful for the upgrade to a suite. The accommodations were spacious, elegantly designed, and offered stunning views of the city skyline. It truly elevated the entire stay.
• Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot. The hotel’s perfect location provides easy access to Bangkok's premier shopping and business districts, making logistics effortless.
• Dining: The breakfast was excellent, featuring a vast selection of high-quality international and local dishes that made for the perfect start to every day.
• Service: What really sets this property apart is the wonderful hospitality. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every detail is handled with care and professionalism.
I will certainly visit again in the future. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable stay!

L'accueil et la qualité du personnel, la propreté de l'hotel et ses services. L'emplacement est très bien même si un peu loin pour nous de nos objectifs de séjour, en revanche un accès direct a la ligne du "Sky train" de Bangkok depuis l'hotel… !

A refaire sans hésitation
We recently stayed at St Regis as a family. We were offered to upgrade our 2 rooms to John Jacob Astor Suite which was massive. The hotel is located in walking distance of multiple malls and experience. The services and amenities within the hotel and our suite were luxurious and elegant.
Every experience at the hotel was amazing but what made the experience exceptional was the service staff. Everyone staff member we interacted with were amazing and went over and beyond. Whether it were our butlers or the front concierge staff, Edd, Pock or the breakfast team. We unfortunately can’t remember all the names but every staff was super helpful and no task was too hard for them. They catered to our late night dining requests with dietary requirements with a smile and great tasting food. The room service was so great that our kids preferred ordering food at the hotel rather than eating out or order again after eating elsewhere. The team organised a fruit cake for our special occasion. The room would be serviced and cleaned multiple times a day. The staff would answer our queries, make suggestions for the best places for us to enjoy the Thai new year festivities and even helped communicate with the drivers when we would head out.
The tour we organised through the concierge desk was wonderful and luxurious with a super knowledgeable guide Belle.
Our family loved staying at St Regis and our kids wanted to stay on instead of moving to our next Thailand destination.
Luxurious, good location and facilities
We went to a wedding ceremony at the St Regis Bangkok in late March. The hotel is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our stay at the St. Regis Bangkok was absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is perfect, and every detail feels thoughtful and luxurious—but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the service, especially from our amazing 24/7 butler, Por.
Por went above and beyond for us every single day. One of the most special touches was the handwritten notes he left in our room each night, which made the experience feel so personal and welcoming. It’s rare to find service that feels both this polished and genuinely kind.
The hotel also has so many fun touches that made the stay memorable. We loved the nightly champagne sabering ceremony, which was such a unique and celebratory tradition. The breakfast each morning was incredible—beautifully presented with so many delicious options—and the room service was equally amazing, easily some of the best we’ve had at any hotel.
Between the beautiful rooms, fantastic food, and truly exceptional service, the St. Regis Bangkok delivered a perfect stay. Por in particular made it extra special, and we’re so grateful for the care and attention he showed us throughout our visit.

A very Luxurious hotel. Amenities are top notch. But the Star and The Best in this hotel are the People who works here. Never did I experience a real Thai Hospitality . A true Genuine Thai Smile.

First Impression comes at the Hotel Reception. Violette make a very remarkable impression. Her communication skills explaining my perks is beyond. Paris, Nargis and Sani. Thank you soo much. All from the Hotel Reception made my stay great. Wish i could had stayed here longer than 2 days. They made a very very good impression of the hotel they all work in.
Viu is the Restaurant next to the Hotel Recption . Decha, Nunmin and Wee. Visitors who are not familiar with Thai Cuisine. You just made me ate food that i cant find back in San Francisco. The Lounge is located at the hotel lobby. Mook, Ice, Tang and my New good Friend MK. Explaning all the drinks and suggesting different Ice tea was fun. Our small talk was something I'll never forget. Great hotel in the center of Bangkok. You have to take a lift to go up where the reception is located. I have a lifetime Titanium membership and normally get an upgrade for free. This is the first Marriott who wanted me to pay an extra price for an upgrade. Since I refused, they very nicely gave in and we got our upgrade. Our Suite was perfect, had everything we wanted. Hotel has a great fitness room. The Pool is rather small in comparison to other Marriotts and , because some high rise buildings around the hotel, has limited sunshine hours. There is a large shopping mall only 5 min in walking distance, with many restaurants. The lounge on the ground floor only allows 1 drink per person in the happy hour. Breakfast is very good, has a great variety. We came by taxi, but hotel has a good size car park, I was told. The staff is excellent and the hotel is of top quality.
