Overcharged!
Pros:

Location.

Cons:

Room number 2 near back of hotel on ground floor. Arrived and ushered to room which was down a badly lit corridor, backing onto kitchen/service area. Outside the room was a cupboard (left open) where event tables stored. Had to close these doors to access room. I could go on…but we had two dogs with us and at 06:15 in the morning deliveries started to arrive and vans backing up right outside the room crashing and banging spooked them.

Room appeared grubby and worn out.

Not an appropriate hotel for pets as no outside space for them. We seemed to upset staff/residents having our dogs with us.

Friendly clean Hotel
Pros:

Location for us was excellent with good transport connections to Glasgow. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast and dinner was equally impressive with a good range of freshly prepared meals served by attentive and friendly staff. The hotel is quiet and very peaceful and bedroom facilities are modern and well maintained.

Cons:

There is no lift in the hotel so if you are elderly or infirm you need to specify a ground floor room on booking. Reception staff though will ensure luggage is delivered to your room on the first or second floor.

Cons:

Die Sauberkeit des Bades war nicht gut. Im Zahnputzbecher waren noch Rückstände vom vorherigen Menschen. Der Stützgriff neben der Toilette war äußerst schmutzig.

Hotel and room was great
Pros:

Lovely looking hotel

Cons:

Evening meal was good but waiter didn’t even bother to ask if our meals were ok and had to find someone to get the bill as the staff were elusive
Breakfast was really cheap ingredients bread juice was like cordial the one sausage you wasn’t nice
I know they have to make a profit but just charge an extra £3 per room so that you could give guests better quality breakfast
