1 Lexham Gardens Hotel

The room was shabby,dirty and had holes in the walls.

The bathroom had mould and was old. We did not use it.

The bed was uncomfortable and again was worn. We did not sleep at all.

The room itself deserves MAXIMUM 2 stars. There were no cabinets or wardrobes, and basically no proper place to put your belongings. There was only a small hanging area for coats, and we ended up using the room door handle to hang our bags.

I honestly cannot believe a hotel room can have no proper bedside tables. There were two very small ones, but they were already occupied by the kettle, tea and other things, so there was practically no space to put anything.

There was also no mirror in the room.

The bathroom was very small and old, and all the ceramics were cracked. Again, there was not even a little bit of space around the sink or anywhere in the bathroom to put your belongings.

There was no proper plug in the bathroom either, only one plug for a shaver. So you have to dry your hair in the tiny room.

Opening and closing the window was also very difficult because it was very old and heavy.

When we arrived, there was still hair from previous guests in the room, and the room was quite dusty. However, after that, the daily cleaning was good.

Overall, the location, comfortable beds and cleanliness during the rest of our stay were positive, but the room and bathroom really need renovation and, most importantly, better use of the very limited space.

Leider lag es mit der Rückseite der Zimmer an einem Nachtclub und war ab 21:00 bis weit in die Nacht extrem laut
Unser gebuchtes Vierbettzimmer war leider unterirdisch und lag im Kellergeschoss direkt unterhalb des Nachtclubs. Der Blick aus dem Fenster ging in eine Dreckecke eines Innenhofes. Das Bad glich der Größe einer Telefonzelle und es zeigte ebenso wie im Zimmer Schimmelspuren an Decke und Wänden. Die Zimmer im Keller dürften meiner Meinung nach nicht vermietet werden. Diese waren auch nur über eine steile Treppe zu erreichen. Wir konnten auf Nachfrage gottseidank am nächsten Tag dieses Zimmer verlassen und bekamen ein größeres Zimmer
weiter oben. Aber generell ist das Hotel extrem renovierungsbedürftig. In den Zimmern wie beim Mobiliar.

Noise from the Shishka Lounge directly behind the hotel. Apparently it is licensed until midnight, which doesn't quite explain the wailing until 3.30am.

Dirty everywhere you look, staff very rude at breakfast everyday, breakfast could not accommodate the quests, no paper in toilet, food and coffee was not filled up once empty, were not allowed to even finish our breakfast before being sent away, room in extremely bad maintenance state, bathroom was falling apart in so many areas, night table, window, doors everything you touched feel apart. Traveled the world and this was the worst stay and I never normally give any reviews but this just was to much to handle.

Zimmer aber alt, Teppich hat Flecken, Ausstattung im Bad spartanisch, dafür aber kostenlose Pflegeprodukte, Kaffe und Tee auf Zimmer, aber Fenster alt und daher sehr laut.

Por ponerle una pega, mi habitación estaba en la cuarta planta y el agua tardaba un poco en salir caliente y costaba encontrar el punto intermedio entre muy caliente y fría. El ascensor, como es antiguo, tardaba un poco en subir y bajar. La habitación no tiene armario, tiene una barra con perchas. Y, como en todo el Reino Unido, no hay persianas, por lo que recomiendo antifaz o similar para los que, como yo, odiamos la claridad (sí había una cortina y la verdad es que tapaba bastante). En general, los hoteles de Londres me parecen siempre excesivamente caros si los comparo con los hoteles de España, por ejemplo, pero prefiero pagar un poco más y que esté cerca del centro, como es el caso de Lexham Gardens, para no acabar gastándote en transporte y tiempo lo que te ahorras en el alojamiento. La cama era cómoda, pero un poco pequeña para mi gusto.

Well I had a medical issue with my mum and had to check out after 1 week for a 2 BD apartment, from a 3 week reservation for 2 rooms. I made a plea to the property for a refund and they said I chose the non refundable option. Now there is no refundable option available at booking.com, I would have gladly taken that at a premium. So I expected some humanity to be expressed by the property and they did not. Rather they were comfortable keeping £4,000 credit on the grounds that it was non refundable, knowing very well that my mum's dementia (medical condition) forced me to find a 2 bedroom apartment. The only reason I chose this hotel was that it was next to Crownwel hospital. I had even requested for rooms close to each other which they could not provide (for my wife and mum). My advice to you is please don't do any long stay at this property (3 to 7 days maybe safe just incase something comes up), if you have an emergency you are not getting your money back. I rate the property very low and the TV's is their rooms are too small and some TV's are not smart tv. Some rooms are old and need to be refurbished, well at a rating of 6.4 in booking.com., don't expect to get much.

Please don't do long stays here, if you have an emergency you will not get back your money. The hotel has a non refundable policy and no other options.This is about the lowest rating hotel I have used and it was a total disaster. The rooms and old, the rooms do not have smart TV. I had a medical issue with my mum and had to check out after a week. She had dementia and was wondering around. I informed the reception and got a 2 bedroom apartment and checked out with a credit of £4,000, which the property has conveniently kept. I made a plea on medical grounds and they refused to refund. They expressed no humanity at all. The mistake I made and I am sharing is make your reservations 1 week at a time rather than a long stay of 3 weeks, just incase any emergency comes up. They will not refund your money.

The windows are single glaze and very noisy at night with l would imagine draughts in any bad weather. The bathroom for the family room No 103 is very poor with a tiny corner sink. The water flow in the shower is very poor and was inclined to overflow.

It needs renovation. We didn’t have table and chairs, as it was shown ot the picture of the room. Not enough space
