The bedding was dirty not been changed as there was previous false eyelashes on the pillow, the floor hadn't been cleaned, the hot water didn't work, noisey, television didn't work.

Avoid this place. I arrived for my booking and found the hotel closed with no staff present. I called the provided number several times with no response. I was left outside with no access and no communication. I never received the room I paid for and had to urgently find another hotel. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
Not being there
This Hotel is absolutely duscusting. I have never stayed anywhere this bad. Upon arrival the Hotel was in another name 'Hawkes Hotel'. There was nobody there to speak to at the property atall. Pin numbers to enter the rooms we're sent via WhatsApp and code to enter door. A man, who I assume works at the property came out of a room followed by a cloud of cigarette smoke and seemed quite drunk came out with batteries to put in to the doors. This was the only person we came across. Once inside the room it was apparent that the rooms were in a very poor state, dirty bathroom, damaged handle on door so bathroom door could not be closed, smelt of damp, no cups, no remote for tv. We spent 40 minuites in the hotel after sustaining injury from a metal shard that was what used to be a door handle on toilet. Unpacked to see hairs in the beds and then in children's beds there were blood staines and bed bugs running across sheets. There was an out of use 24 hour emergency contact number so could not call anyone. I Whatsapped the number that had messaged me to send photos and videos of the rooms and bed bugs and explanained me snd my children could not stay in the hotel and that I wanted a full refund. I was told they had never had any other complaints ( I have now saw the reviews ) and that i would need to go through booking.com. I then had to find another hotel at 10.30pm with 4 children. I paid 3 times the amount at a hotel as it was so late and there were no vacancies for a family room anywhere close. Booking.com are being very unhelpful and telling me to get in touch with the hotel after I had already sent numerous emails, attachments and calls to explain that I had been told to put in a complaint and raise a case for a refund through booking.com by the owner. It has totally ruined our short break, left me out of pocket and just discusted in general. The place should be closed down it is absolutely vile.

After knocking on the door for 20 minutes, someone eventually answered. The phone number for the hotel provided was invalid and not in service.
The gentleman who showed us in originally said he was the cleaner, living at the hotel, renovating it, and eventually a guest like us. All in the space of 90 minutes whilst we waited for someone to actually let us into a room. However, he knew the manager and was accessing all the rooms.
The same man said our room (14) wasn't ready but showed us Room 2 whoch was full of mould and the entire bottom floor had been flooded. This obviously wasn't appropriate for a family. He told us there had been a flood and showed us Room 1 just so we could see the extent and why there was mould in Room 2. It was horrific and straight out of a 3rd world country.
He then took us downstairs and said I shouldn't show you behind the bar (kitchen) proceeded to anyway. This room hadn't been used for well over a year and was derelict, full of mould and dust.
90 minutes now, after actually getting into the hotel, we were shown to Room 14 on the top floor. The room had no mattress on a double bed, which had burn marks on the bed sheets. The room was also slightly mouldy and stank of it, as did the entire hotel (no surprise considering what we had been shown on floors below). This had no toilet paper. Also, no surprise was piecing everything together he was the cleaner, and as he had previously mentioned, the room wasn't ready. The room had no hot water or heating either.
Obviously, we decided to cut our losses and didn't stay.
The Hotel, as you would expect as its a scam, didn't refund the monies paid. It was cheap, so this wasn't an issue.
The property cancelled in the day of my booking just hours before my expected arrival. It ruined a my weekend and I had to drive 2 hours home late at night. Also I am still waiting for a refund 2 days later. Very unhappy
