Great location and superb staff. Superior room very large
Could do with some work on the property and there was a poor choice for breakfast.
It was convenient, clean and the pub part is nice and bright. Great shortbread biscuits in the room!
Cold room, luke warm only water for bath/shower. Checkin area feels a bit seedy, staff carried on their conversation complaining about something when I arrived to check in, woken to a 20-30 minute rant by staff outside my door complaining about other members of staff. Wifi was very poor which as someone who needed to work in the evening was very frustrating.

Food wasn't great.
We stayed here en route to Scotland, it is literally on the A1, but perfect as a stop point. The hotel itself is a little tired, but thats made up for by the lovely welcome and staff, the food was delicious and the lounge area was so comfortable. Our room Room 5 was large looking on to the back of the main building with a newly decorated bathroom and had everything you would need. There is a lovely feel to the hotel and would definitely recommend it Thanks Sibson Hotel
All in all it was great value for money albeit some things could have perhaps been a wee bit better
Friendly staff, comfortable room
Room, although tired, had everything needed. Lighting was a little poor, but the shower/bath had excellent hot water.
And the view from the window was lovely.
The staff were helpful. The Bar was attractive and comfortable.
The breakfast was basic at best, poor coffee, and no yoghurts for instance. Dinner was reasonable pub food.
Location, traditional, great value.
Some facilities were not great, shower wasn’t very powerful.
There is ample parking. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was clean and tidy and despite being on the side closest to the road, it was surprisingly quiet. The hotel is close to the Show Ground and the route in was easy and quick. I would recommend staying here if you are exhibiting or just visiting an event as it was so convenient.
The room was very hot, which was not surprisng as my stay coincided with a very hot day. I was able to find a fan in the corridor which was not in use and this made a little difference. This is no fault of the hotel and would likely have been the same in many other establishments. There was no one in reception at check out and it turned out I could have just left the key but that was not clear at the time.
I didn't use the bar or restaurant although both looked busy. I expect they are usually busy as the location of the hotel means there are few alternative options in the immediate vicinity.
The staff and owner are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Felt like a home away from home. Quaint old English inn.
Everything was perfect
The beautiful historic Inn was perfect for our short stay. The staff were really lovely and made us feel relaxed and welcome.
We should have stayed longer
The room was fairly comfortable. Parking was easy
The outside courtyard could have been really pretty, BUT all the hanging baskets and plants were dead and the furniture needs an upgrade. one chair was broken and would be dangerous if someone sat on it.
The evening meal was passable (just)
Initial welcome fine . Meal fine that evening and breakfast okay
Fan in bedroom because of extreme heat. Gravel all around a real problem coming into building . Toilets in main hotel out of action both visits near bar. On return journey asked for a sandwich was told hotel shut until 6pm. There was a function there in another part of the hotel which was very noisy until midnight. Cigarette butts Ashtray full outside our room on a table same the week before
Nice clean hotel it was all good.
Nothing to dislike.
