dringende vernieuwing noodzakelijk !
Pros:

De locatie en de priorij op zich is top...
Het ontbijt is zondermeer goed. De kamers zijn ruim en qua indeling makkelijk in gebruik maar compleet passé.

Cons:

Na het inchecken stel je vast dat je in de bijgebouwen moet voor de slaapkamers. Even het gevoel dat ik terug op kamp was. Oude gebouwen (refter gevoel) en triestige sfeer, kamers zijn echt à vernieuwing toe.
Goed ontbijt doch de inrichting is moeilijker, ongezellig om met 2 à een ronde tafel van 8 personen te zitten.
Ook al minder dat het personeel 's morgens om 6 uur daar gewoon gezellig luid staan te keuvelen in de gang, waar is het respect voor hun klanten.

Het ontbijt was goed en de omgeving was prachtig

Cons:

De kamer was een aanfluiting, geen airco. Aangegeven bij de receptie, toen kregen wij een ventilator.
We moesten naar boven voor de badkamer en toilet, bad zat vol met beestjes.
De trap was erg smal en gevaarlijk, vooral voor rugpatienten zoals mijn echtgenoot en ikzelf.

Je verwacht meer voor deze prijs.
Pros:

De positieve punten waren een vriendelijke receptie, een prachtige locatie en goed ontbijt. Er is voldoende parkeergelegenheid en het is rustig in de omgeving.

Cons:

De kamer kostte voor 3 nachten 370 euro. Voor dit bedrag krijg je de overnachting en ontbijt erbij. De kamer was echter erg slecht. Het was deze dagen meer dan 30 graden overdag, en de kamer was in de nok van een gebouw gesitueerd. Dit werd zo ongelofelijk warm, dat we het matras beneden hebben moeten leggen (kamer had twee lagen) en een ventilator hebben moeten vragen. Er is geen airco aanwezig en maar 1 beschimmeld raam vol houtrot, voorzien van een kapot gordijn dat met elastiekjes aan elkaar was geknoopt. De hoeken waren vies, stoffig en vol spinnenwebben. Ook lag er overal zand? Er is geen koelkast, geen föhn en amper voorzieningen. De badkamer had alleen een bad waar een douchekop boven hing. Staand douchen was niet mogelijk. Een krukje dat kapot was, was het enige wat er was in de badkamer. In een jongerenhostel zit je beter!

Aankomst aan een mooi kasteel, receptie ok. Bij binnenkomen van de kamer was er een chemische geur, niet te definieren, maar gezien de vloerbekleding niet ver te zoeken. De kamer is oud, lees jaren 60-70, maar was wel netjes. Er was een trouwfeest die dag, met veel nachtlawaai tot gevolg. Het was leuk geweest als we dit op voorhand hadden geweten…
