Good location but apartment showing its age.
Pros:

Well appointed kitchen area with washer/drier allowed for good self catering options.

Cons:

Couch in lounge that was in fact a fold away bed very uncomfortable to sit on. Main bed also very uncomfortable.

Pros:

The location was central and close to shops, restaurants and with a good view of Castle Rock around the corner. The bathroom was spacious. It was very handy to have the washer/dryer.

Cons:

There was only an air conditioner in the bedroom which made it very uncomfortable for the children sleeping on the pull out couch in the living room. It was incredibly hot and stuffy in the living area and the window had to be closed to be able to put the blind down properly. Edinburgh is a very expensive city to stay in but the standard of accommodation didn’t feel like it lived up to the expense compared to accommodation in other major cities. There are a few stairs to get your suitcase up before you can access the lift.

Good location, good size space to stay in. Beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The air conditioning did not work and it was very hot. Having the windows open and too noisy to sleep easily. Staff not available all the time in the building. We had to find toilet roll from the cleaner and had no washing up cloth to do the dishes.
