Anstruther is delightful
Pros:

Great place. Busy restaurant and bar. Brilliant location in the small town with easy access to everything. The staff were helpful and lovely. Not particularly expensive.

Cons:

Parking is a little challenging so you need to consider options. The nearby esplanade suited us. It was a busy bar night when we were there so some noise permeated to the bedroom. It was ok though.

Lovely seaside stay
Pros:

The location is great, 5 minutes from the beach front, the room was clean spacious and comfortable, we had room 6 which was ground floor with a decent size bedroom and our favourite was the sitting room with the lovely sea view which we were sad to leave behind!

Cons:

TV was a bit tricky but we got some help when we asked, that's it 😁

Pros:

Perfect short stay before a wedding nearby! Such a comfy and clean room, lovely bar/restaurant, incredible breakfast, and all the staff (including John) were so lovely and made us feel so welcome! Highly recommend a stay if you’re in the area - great little place.

Our room was a bit noisy as there was a very busy road outside. The signal on the TV was almost non existent.

Great hideaway
Pros:

Very comfortable and quiet and spacious and well furnished. Private back door access. Short walk to harbour, restaurant and shops.

Cons:

No onsite parking but available short walk. Stairs, no lifts.

Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, the staff were very welcoming, and the breakfast alone
Pros:

We were generally very happy with our stay at The Bank. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent — generous, very tasty and one of the highlights of our stay. We also enjoyed the pub itself, which had a lively atmosphere and was clearly very popular.

Cons:

Our room was of a good standard, although perhaps a little below the level we had expected. There were also a few maintenance issues. The shower was extremely hot and the mixer did not seem to be working properly, the toilet cistern repeatedly refilled itself roughly every ten minutes — including throughout the night — and one of the windows could not be opened.

As the pub is understandably busy and popular, it could also become quite noisy later in the evening. That said, we liked the pub and enjoyed spending time there, so this was more something to be aware of than a major criticism.

We also had an unexpected nighttime evacuation due to a fire alarm, which fortunately turned out to have been caused by a faulty detector. Obviously these things can happen, although it did make for a rather memorable night!

Close to St Andrew’s at a fraction of the cost.
Pros:

Very large space, good location to walk, food was amazing and friendly staff. Matt was exceptional!

Cons:

Had to walk to park the car. Not bad, only a 2 minute walk but if disabled it would be a hardship as the walk is uphill.

Angenehmes Hotel
Pros:

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht dort und hatten ein grosses Zimmer mit Meerblick. Das Personal war freundlich. Das Morgen- und Abendessen war gut. Der Gratisparkplatz war nicht direkt beim Hotel
