Friendly and helpful staff, the room, great views, comfortable seating arrangements.
We come to Saltburn regularly and always have breakfast at The Spa Hotel. Always amazing service and the breakfast is so good! My little boy only ever wants bacon and he’s always given a plate full. We got the regular breakfast so big I couldn’t eat it all. I’m gluten free and they always cater for me. Will be back
We want to say a massive thank you to Kaz and all the team at the Spa Hotel. We stayed in the outlook which is one of their beautiful self catering properties. The outlook is well equipped and beautifully furnished with the most amazing view.
However I’m writing this review to say thanks to every staff member we met who helped us out and did everything they could to make our stay truly enjoyable.
Plus the Yorkshire breakfast was the best my son had ever had!!!!
Excellent location, parking gorgeous views. The food in the amazing restaurant was great value and delicious.
No slippers, no fridge and the electric charging didn’t work
Didn't stay at the hotel but booked an evening meal on Saturday night. Food and service very poor. Ordered fish and chips: fish mostly battered, chips soggy and greasy. Desserts uninspiring... few ice cream options. They persuaded us to order a bottle of white wine but by the time it arrived we had finished our meal so sent it back. Complained but they were very defensive anyit wasn't until towards the end of the evening that we got an apology.. grudgingly? Maybe the accommodation is better?
Just the most perfect stay at a lovely hotel!
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like old friends. Every member of staff really friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Room lovely and clean.
The best part was the food! We are both vegans & can honestly say we had the BEST vegan breakfast ever! Great choice for evening dinner too & such a treat to have 3 choices! Restaurant manager was fabulous greeting all guests & a credit to the hotel!
Thank you so much for a lovely stay! We will be back!!
Stayed in Treetops self catering. Excellent place to stay, very tidy and would recommend
Only the weather could have been a little better
Outdoor Terrace
Route from front of hotel to room.
Loved it ! Great location wonderful staff
Nothing
The room was lovely and spacious and clean. The reception staff were very helpful. The food was very good. The view from the terrace was spectacular. The location was good, being only a short walk from the railway station and near the beach and pier.
The service in the restaurant was very slow--we had to prompt the waiter after waiting for nearly an hour for our evening meal. At breakfast the toast was cold by the time it came.
Location
Sticky toffee pudding
Great service, great food, highly recommended ! Belly Pork was to die for, compliments to the chef!
Booked a last minute one night stay (Booked 30/6/26) at The Spa Hotel Saltburn for Wednesday 1st July 2026 as part of our Yorkshire Costal Adventure and have to say booking direct with the hotel we got the best price available. I checked numerous sites before calling the hotel directly but none offered a better prices. I was only required to pay a £25 deposit which i thought was extremely reasonable as we’d expected to pay in full.
On arrival there was a couple of parking spaces at the front of the hotel, checking in was smooth and friendly and the receptionist showed us to our room.
On arrival at room 6 we were instantly impressed how spacious and well presented the room was with its beautiful coastal side view.
After unpacking we had lattes and drinks in the outdoor area overlooking the magnificent coastline. Later we watched the England game in the snug area which is adjacent to the main bar.
After the match we had lite bites at our table in the snug bar, the food was very tasty and just enough for what we wanted.
The bed and linen was excellent.
The bathroom was adapted for disabled people with a walk in shower / wet room. There was a seat available to use whilst in the shower. Very impressive and spacious.
Breakfast was outstanding and included in our price. The breakfast menu was extensive and very tasty. The hotel’s bar offers an excellent selection of drinks. The hotel’s location is breathtaking with outdoor seating across from the main entrance in the car park area or on the roof top terrace.
The only negative point I would mention was at breakfast there was only only lady doing her best as quickly and efficiently as she could to seat guests to their table, take orders and deliver the drinks and food to guests. We went for breakfast just before 9am and arrived at the same time as numerous other guests, thankfully we were second in line so our wait wasn’t as long as some. Lattes and water took around 29 minutes which was quite a wait from being seated and the food 37 minutes to arrive and definitely worth the wait. We did notice a second waitress’s arrive later. This certainly would not put us off staying again but maybe if the water had been delivered straight away rather than waiting for the hot drinks to arrive our wait maybe wouldn’t have felt so long. In fact I went to our car to get a bottle of my own water as was thirsty. The views whilst having breakfast are just perfect.
All staff at the hotel were extremely friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable of the area.
Highly recommend and would stay again.
Lovely place, amazing food, lovely staff , perfect breakfast, welcoming to dogs and a fantastic view. Definitely worth a visit
