Absolutely nothing
The property was CLOSED. We were re-routed to a “sister” property on a side road around the corner and several blocks away.
I ( the person who booked the stay) was NEVER informed of the issue- never asked if I agreed to this change. I was completely caught off guard and honestly quite angered. The arrogance of the hotel management to “assume”
It would be ok to not let a guest know of changes was a full on display of inappropriate business practices.
The property we were shuffled to (Le Clos Medicis)was horrible.
The staff attitude was indifferent to downright insolent at times; demanding to keep the ridiculous room “key chain” complete with massive leather tassel, room card for electricity, and specialized metal entry key, for security purposes.
The bathroom was disgusting. Mold on the tiles, on the shower caulking, on the tile floor corners.
Great location. Clean. They are currently renovating- so our breakfast was added on for free.
The staff were fantastic and breakfast was good. Aircon worked great. Location was amazing!
There was some construction going on so couldn’t make use of all the facilities but didn’t get in the way of our stay and wasn’t noisy which was great. Room was very small.
There were good display of breakfast in a cozy breakfast room. The staff are freindly and helpful too.
Although the hotel itself is in renovation but still i want to come back here because its convenient for places you want to visit.

Central location close to two metro stops (Luxembourg and Odeon). Most of room was large bed, which is what we asked for. Eric at front desk spoke English and was great help. Room was very clean and fresh towels available as needed. We did not eat breakfast because too much to do daily. We would stay again if ever back in Paris.
Bathroom and shower were small and water not very hot. Bed was bit hard. Scaffolding on front made it hard to see entrance. Room keys are old keys on wooden knob and only one per room.
Staff was super nice and accommodating. Location is good, breakfast was very good. Clean room nice bathroom. Old world charm. Cute little elevator. Coffee shop across is great and 3-4 nice restaurants very close.
The hotel is under going renovations and the workers start banging around at 9am. I never felt uncomfortable or intruded upon and we were gone by 930. They kept it very clean of debris and it wasn’t to bad. It should be very nice when they are done.

The manager greeted us warmly and worked to have our room made available early. The location is great! The room is small but not cramped, clean and everything we needed.

Carpets were old. Using an old key to open&close the door was a struggle.No refrigerator inside the room
I often stay here when in Paris, its location is outstanding, the staff are friendly and I never have any problems.
The work being done on the hotel this time was a little annoying, could have done without the scaffolding spoiling my view from my hotel room.

Location, pleasant staff, wonderful beds! Breakfast was quite lovely and the service was very pleasant. We enjoyed being in the old basement, imagining the things those walls have seen! Front desk staff (Morad) was more than kind! We so much appreciated the upgrade to our 'mini-suite'. A/C was much appreciated as the temperature soared to over 100 (40C). We also appreciated the cold drinks in the lobby after our excursions.
Nothing...we were not even bothered by the construction noise. In fact, if we come back to Paris, we would choose this hotel again, looking forward to see the results of the construction.
Great little hotel, the location was great, it was close to landmarks and a nice area of the city with pleanty of restaurants, cool shops, supermarkets and atmosphere but it wasn't as busy as some other areas of paris, there was also a metro entrance close by.
The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke good English which was great for me as I speak terrible french. The bed was very comfortable, the Aircon was an absolute saviour from the 33 degree heat wave. The The shower was hot and powerful, it had a nice big bath too and there was free delicious home made lemonade in the lobby.
Downsides were the hotel was under construction in multiple areas, which as far as I noticed was not mentioned to me other than in reviews. Our view of the streets had scaffolding and building materials directly outside our window.
To be picky It was also a bit dated compared to some similar priced UK hotels I've stayed in, but I'm guessing this will be part of the renovations. And some tiny areas could have been cleaner.
Overall though these things didn't bother us as the room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, it was a little cool sanctuary from the heat after hours of walking everyday and the friendly staff made us feel welcome every time.
The hotel staff was one of the best I have ever encountered. Warm, welcoming, kind and patient. Every staff member had a ready smile and were happy to help me with my needs. The room was clean and comfortable (I stayed there during one of the summer heat waves and the AC worked perfectly). The location was perfect, I could easily get where I needed to go. There were various cafes and restaurants nearby in addition to a Carrefour Express across the street. I would definitely stay there again.
