A sympathetic conversation/upgrade/extension of this wonderful period property which retains its historic charm and connections to the family of Beatrix Potter. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfortable and it was a joy to stay here. The staff team is first rate; not only professional and highly competent, but friendly and charming too. Not only all that, but the food and beverage offering is also excellent.
Nothing.
Location
Room was in need of an update
Went to a baby shower here and had afternoon tea, was not worth the money, they even gave me custard cream biscuits on it. Have had better afternoon tea elsewhere, will not be coming back. Have emailed the manager and head chef, have not had a reply from either of them , customer service not good.
Man on desk on leaving excellent. Others not welcoming
Greeting and general demeanour of staff unwelcoming.
Also, 4.00 check in is really unreasonable
Very disappointed, my friend and I payed £160 for a room one night at Lindeth Howe, navies we were booked in the theatre. Checked in room was nice people friendly, whilst at the theatre my friend sadly was feeling unwell, and I took the decision to get her to westmoreland A&E, thankfully we did as it was a serious heart attack that required surgery, they blue lighted her to Blackpool for surgery that evening, as you can imagine I was worried sick and needed to be with her. I went back to the hotel and got our belongings and checked out so I could get to Blackpool. The lady on reception whilst apologetic promptly checked our account to see if there was anything more to pay, !!!!! There wasn’t because we had not used anything or got a drink on the tab, thankfully after surgery my friend is doing well
I thought about this and sent an email explaining to the manager what happened and not received even an acknowledgement, so I called the manager a few days later to see if he would do a reduction to return to be told I’m sorry that happened however the best we can do is £140 plus and extra £20 for breakfast, because it’s our busiest time, to be honest I didn’t expect a refund, just a reduction to get my business back seeing as though I hadn’t used the room or the bathroom so not cleaning required
Totally get that they not obligated but a little help given the circumstances would have had me return, have dinner and drinks at the bar, now due to their rubbish customer service I have found an fantastic hotel round the corner (Ryebeck) that made me feel most welcome and looked after me as I went up there alone, thank you
Lindeth Howe very disappointed, I won’t be back
The history, the building and the gardens , the staff were so nice and polite, car parking was close and plenty of parking, Also the deco blew my mind,
As above
a walk in the grounds
Great hotel great service and fabulous location
Beautifully decorated and very clean
They said they had 4 chargers for ev's. They did have 4 chargers and one actually had my name tagged to it but none of the chargers worked. Because of their prior assurance I arrived with only a few miles left on the clock, a very stressfull time.
The décor is fab, breakfast choices are vast, a really good breakfast. A nice quiet peaceful hotel just perfect for what we needed. The bedroom was also very big so plenty of room.
Our only complaint was that the mattress was painful, I have informed them of this. Usually the mattress either suits me or the Mrs on this occasion we were both unable to sleep much due to the springs.
Mooi gebouw, prachtige tuin en heel sfeervol ingericht
Niet al het personeel vonden we vriendelijk en het eten ‘s Avonds was ronduit slecht en daarom ook veel te duur
Me and my partner stayed in room 203, wonderful view, comfortable bed, perfect size for just the two of us. Breakfast was exceptional, nothing to complain about, the staff were helpful and very lovely. The area was peaceful, brilliant location, it’s about a 10 minute walk to Bowness, which was completely fine for us. And they have 3 of the cutest, friendliest cats who wait in the car park every time you walk past!! As a cat lover, this was the cherry on top for me personally😊
The windows in room 203 are quite hard to open and close, you have to use a bit of force.
Garden
Surroundings, free parking, lovely gardens, plenty of character and history in the property, friendly staff,
