Very cosy friendly quite private garden
Location was good The grounds where lovely A fridge in the room during the hot weather would have been very helpful.also think it would have been a good idea to make changes to the dinner menu alternatives days.
Great but quiet location with wonderful grounds and views. Fantastic food of a very high quality and consistency. Very friendly and helpful staff. Link to Beatrix Potter as lived there with mother.
Very long delay in getting hot water to the tap in the bathroom. Over 5 minutes. But it is an old house so cannot expect the latest plumbing.
Its uniqueness and good service at meal times.
Nothing
We had a wonderful two-night stay at Lindeth Howe Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, set in a fantastic location with stunning surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was lovely, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the dinner was excellent, with high-quality food and great service.
What really made our stay special was the exceptional staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but a special mention must go to Kyle on reception. On an extremely hot day, he went above and beyond by kindly lending me his fan whilst we were checking in, which was greatly appreciated. He also took the time to show us around the hotel and shared his knowledge of both the property's history and the local area, which really enhanced our visit.
The combination of a beautiful hotel, excellent food, and outstanding customer service made for a memorable stay. We would highly recommend Lindeth Howe Hotel and would not hesitate to return.
Great location. Quirky furnishing
We had a lovely break at Lindeth Howe. The hotel was excellent with very friendly and polite staff. The food was also excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice,, decor was very individual. Rooms were well appointed
Drive way in was rather hidden, quite a walk to get on main road to Bowness
Beautiful location and grounds with easy access to the town. ALL the staff were super friendly & helpful and made us feel really welcome.
Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had.
Very quiet and idyllic place to stay.
Although the venue is beautiful and everything has to be in keeping, the decor was some what up to date in the rooms but the furniture and fittings very outdated. It did feel like you were staying at a spare room in your grandparents house with the old drawers and dressers...but again, I'm sure this is because it is within keeping of the house itself. We opted to book a table for an evening meal, the menu was fairly pricey but probably expected for somewhere like that with it being situated in windermere. £30 for deconstructed shepherd's pie which consisted of tons of sweetcorn mixed in and veg which hadnt been strained enough (left alot of water on your plate)...you'd expect a little better for the price? But otherwise everything else was fantastic.
The whimsical decor and beautiful setting
The Mattresses on the bed were not good
Check in and bar staff friendly and welcoming. Staff in restaurant at breakfast were great but gentleman who took our order not so much. Husband realised when we were on our way home that we weren't offered toast either. That aside, hotel great, facilities excellent and loved the location. Will definitely stay again.
As above
Very well located in windermere province. Heritage well preserved and good choice of breakfast.
Nothing
Good location and lovely gardens.

An attractive hotel with an interesting link to Beatrice Potter. The public areas are open and airy and nicely furnished on a theme. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. We had spacious room and a comfortable bed. Great that the windows open to let in a breeze. The gardens were calm and restful.
The bar food was tasty but a bit over priced. Though it was good to have the choice of being able to eat at the hotel, rather than walking into Bowness-on-Windermere that was very busy.
Room was spacious and well appointed
Plastic shower
Outstanding decor downstairs in the lounge, restaurant etc. Pretty gardens with outdoor furniture. Excellent chef/food. Non residents come to dine there also. 20 min walk to Bowness or £5 Uber (ish). Staff very pleasant. Small gift shop. Games and books available to use.
Small bathroom. Pillows are very hard but soft ones provided on request. Mattresses are quite the opposite, quite soft. We had a room on the 2nd floor (no lift) but is the case with many of these older hotels. Carpets in bedroom and some furniture a little worn/damaged. That said, we really enjoyed our stay.
