A great place for a celebration with good food and comfortable rooms
Pros:

As a 60th Birthday celebration for a friend the staff made an effort to make the room celbratory:) The room service staff were attentive and helfpul with refills of tea/coffee items. Desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. A change to our party was handled well (they also had a huge do on the other end which we were unaware of until the next day!). Restaurant staff were chatty and helpful with food choices. All in all it was good there. Great grounds.

Cons:

The paperwork prior was a bit lacking and the wrong spa booking intially - was corrected. Not clear how to use the spa facility during the stay in terms of changing e.t.c.

Adequate for a short stay, but not worth the high prices, and not redeemed by the pool/sauna.
Pros:

Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the bedding clean. There was tea and coffee available in the room, with a small kettle. You could request vegetarian/vegan sausages (by request only; not served in the breakfast buffet), and dairy-free milk was available for drinks. There were also allergen signs next to many of the breakfast buffet items.

Cons:

The feel of the place was not a luxury hotel, despite being advertised as such. It felt much more like a Travelodge or other budget hotel. Decor in areas such as the pool and sauna was tired, peeling, and dirty, and the jacuzzi water looked pretty unclean. The breakfast was underwhelming, with tinned tomatoes, rubbery mushrooms, tinned fruit, and self-serve tea and coffee. The coffee and hot water came from just one machine, which meant a long queue, and non-boiling water available for making tea. We were also told we would have a garden view, when in reality our room looked out onto a path, a bollard and a big hedge that blocked the view completely. We also had golfers walking along this path right next to our window, dragging noisy bags and chatting from 6am onwards. I also emailed and sent a message on booking.com in advance to ask about vegan breakfast options, but never received a response. I did, however, receive two reminders via email and booking.com to bid for more expensive room types (which I did not do).

We have stayed many times and always find everything very good.
Pros:

Very welcoming reception. Good disabled parking. Very clean room.

I would stay here again as i enjoyed it & felt comfortable.
Pros:

Spacious clean comfortable, i enjoyed my stay here i should have used the facilities provided they looked great, staff were really nice as was the meals.

An overnight stay that was satisfactory
Pros:

Staff were friendly and polite. I liked the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Helped to keep us cool.

Cons:

Place was a little tired. No poached eggs available at breakfast. Poor fruit selection, coffee machine kept running out of water at breakfast. Shower was very small and the cap on the shower control unit was missing.

Overall probably ok but first room was disgusting and they didn’t move us until the next day
Pros:

The grounds were nice

Cons:

Our room was disgusting, it had a very disturbing brown stain on the floor. I immediately said I wasn’t comfortable with the room but because the manager wasn’t there we had to stay in the room that night and were only able to change the next day.
