Had there been air conditioning I would have no complaints.
Pros:

Location is perfect as long as you are aware a night club is right beside.
Staff were all super friendly.

Cons:

I refused to stay for free with family knowing it would be hot and I was willing to pay to stay where there is air conditioning. There was no air conditioning.
They came up to fix it mote than once however it never worked. They did bring me a fan as soon as I requested one however that is not air conditioning.
I would have stayed for free at many friends/families homes had I known there was no air especially on the top floor. Also the one shower I took there there was no hot water. It was hardly even warm. Luckily I showered elsewhere.

Absolutely lovely
Pros:

Breakfast was continental and was more than adequate. Room was huge and very comfortable. The young lady at reception was lovely, polite and very helpful. We were in the area for a funeral and we rang the hotel a week or so before our stay to ask if although check in was a couple of hours after the funeral if we could get in our room earlier to get changed. They said we could get in our room at 12, we actually arrived earlier than that and the room was still ready for us. Would definitely stay again. I've seen a couple of reviews complaining about the breakfast but for how cheap the room was i wouldn't even expect breakfast.

From the greeting at reception on arrival (Andy) to leaving time, we loved our stay.
Pros:

We were upgraded to the Richard Burton suite which was a very pleasant surprise
! The bed was emperor size and the his and her basins which backed onto a walk through shower area was stunning! There is also a freestanding deep bath in the bedroom which we didn’t use but looked inviting! The toilet was a separate room too for convenience. A very special room indeed. We didn’t have the continental breakfast as we woke up too late so cannot comment on this.

Cons:

We were very happy with everything on our stay. So nothing to complain about at all.

Make sure you get a room without the generator
Pros:

Public areas were fine. I think they need new cleaning staff on the surface it seemed clean but attention to detail was missing. They upgraded us on the 2nd night because the room we had room 8 was noisey - We did not sleep as there was a generator or something going all night. It was pretty awful. The room was small and the bathroom awful. When i mentioned it to reception they were really helpful and moved us to the Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor suite. Lovely room spacious and lovely bathroom. I would probably go back but would book the suite the next time . I temember the hotel when it was really good. About the time when the room namesakes stayed there.

Excellent staff, poor nights sleep
Pros:

staff were excellent, service was good, prices in the bar were excellent.

Cons:

parking i was lucky because there was a space as i pulled up, otherwise it would have been street parking only.
Bed i found uncomfortable
Disappointed only a continental style breakfast.

We plan to go back
Pros:

We liked the staff who were all happy and polite. We liked the toiletries and the complimentary shower cap. We liked our quiet room. The toilets are nice and soft and the bedding clean. We liked the fresh continental breakfast. We liked the free parking. We liked the location.

Cons:

The bathroom door is broken, we did mention, which made it difficult to open.
