Most of the staff was polite
The room was unbearably hot at night because the air-conditioning was extremely noisy but did not cool the room properly. The bathroom shower curtain was also too short, so the floor was completely soaked after every shower.
Construction work was carried out directly beside our room, despite the hotel clearly knowing it was scheduled. It was extremely loud, and the corridor was left covered in dust and debris. I do not understand why guests were placed in that area while the work was taking place.
Breakfast was below average. The scrambled eggs were watery and the pineapple did not appear fresh. Booking a basic room should mean fewer extras or a less desirable view; not ineffective air-conditioning, a flooded bathroom and construction noise.
Overall, this was well below the standard expected from a four-star hotel. I would not stay here again.

Tem uma ótima vista, próximo ao Pingo Doce, varios barzinhos bem próximos e bons restaurantes também.
O parque de estacionamento pequeno, tivemos que deixar o carro fora/longe do hotel algumas vezes por não haver mais vagas. E sendo um casal, pedimos cama de casal e haviam duas camas juntas no quarto, era um pouco desconfortável para dormir, pois elas ficavam se separando…
O café da manhã muito bom, funcionarios simpaticos, boa limpeza.
A sacada estava em chão bruto.

Dirty walls, mold in the bathroom, large bathroom, but no place to put the personal belongings, very old furniture, the common restrooms are not refilled with soap and hand towels. With a little more attention it could be a marvelous place

Es mi segunda vez en este hotel y solo puedo tener palabras positivas. Tanto en el personal, como en los servicios, y por sobre todas las cosas por su excelente ubicacion.
No tengo nada negativo que resaltar
We stayed at this hotel from June 26 to July 1. First of all, it is important to mention that the hotel itself was not our main priority. We came to Madeira mainly to explore the island and spend our days sightseeing. That is why we chose a reasonably priced hotel rather than a higher-end property. Based on the price and the existing reviews, we knew we should not expect a luxury 4-star experience, and we were prepared to make some compromises. Unfortunately, our stay was more disappointing than we had anticipated.
Positive points:
• The location is excellent: close to Funchal and perfectly situated with easy access to the main roads, making it ideal for exploring the island.
• The price is very reasonable for Madeira.
Negative points:
Parking
Parking spaces are very limited. However, this was already mentioned in many previous reviews, so we cannot really complain about it.
The room
• We had requested one double bed when making our reservation, but instead we were given two single beds pushed together.
• There were no power outlets in the bathroom.
• The wall-mounted hairdryer had such a short cable that it did not even reach the mirror.
• There was no proper shower, only a bathtub with a shower curtain. As a result, the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower.
• The door handle was damaged.
• The air conditioning was extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep.
Breakfast
The breakfast was decent but lacked variety, especially when it came to sweet options. What surprised us most was that all four coffee machines were empty at the same time during breakfast. This is difficult to understand in a hotel of this size.
Dinner
We had dinner at the hotel once. The buffet offered very little variety. On the other hand, the glass of wine was filled almost to the top, which was rather unusual.
Pool and bar
Despite the pool area being relatively quiet, we often had to wait between 10 and 15 minutes to receive a drink.
