For my purposes it's a very convenient, comfortable hotel, at a reasonable price.
Pros:

It's a great breakfast. The room was large and comfortable.

Cons:

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to extend my booking because they were full.

Pros:

Modena is a nice small city, with lots of history and excellent food, and hotel Estense is very well located to explore it: a 5 min walk outside the historical city center. We were also lucky enough to have a free parking place for the car inside the courtyard.

Cons:

The place, furniture, colours etc show a certain age, but carry a lot of charm.
