Spațios
Locația îmbătrânită, mâncare ciudata
Their staff were all really kind
The spa was a joke, the sauna was off,a small surety swimming pool and no one sun bed or chair
Perfect!
The room was spacious and clean, we found a parking spot every time, all good.
The water pressure could have been better.
It’s a nice hotel for the price. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the staff are friendly. The breakfasts are also very good.
The hotel’s location is not appealing at all. On all sides, there is either a truck parking area or a construction site. The Wi-Fi is also very slow.
Struttura accoglienza
The location is absolutely spot on if you're heading anywhere from the South Station — for instance, travelling from Moldova to its south and on into Romania. All the buses to your onward destinations are quite literally a stone's throw from the hotel, no more than 20 metres away. There's a supermarket 10 metres off, and a bit further on, within spitting distance, a Kaufland and a McDonald's for those who don't mind a round of gastro-roulette. Reaching the city centre, however, does require a bus; it's not somewhere you can leg it to in a hurry.
The hotel itself is appointed in what one might charitably call East European chic. At reception you'll be met by a thoroughly professional lady. As a lone traveller, I was given a room with a large double bed. The floor is carpeted wall-to-wall, which feels pleasant underfoot, and it's very much a shoes-off sort of room. The fridge is fully stocked with drinks, payable at checkout if you've knocked any back. Tea is provided on a complimentary basis, and there is, naturally, a kettle.
The room is entirely in keeping with the hotel's general East European take on opulence — though, as with all matters of taste, it won't be everyone's cup of tea. Some will love it. There is a generous wardrobe. An iron is not provided.
The bathroom was reasonably clean, and there's a bathtub. In my room, however, the toilet was not properly secured to the floor, so every time I sat down I had the distinct impression I was about to set sail. Perhaps management will cast an eye over this and put things right.
One more thing: there are no blackout curtains. So if you're a late riser hoping for a lie-in, the sun will see to it that you're up with the lark — there's simply no hiding from it. What's more, in the morning, just when sleep is at its sweetest, housekeeping clatters about the corridors with loud exclamations and shouts to one another about what needs doing.
