Unfortunate
Pros:

Location for attending a local wedding. Ample parking.

Cons:

fire procedure (alarm went off at 3am and various things then happened - no checking all staying residents had evacuated, non convincing response as to why the alarm was set off, doors which wouldn’t open properly), slowness of drinks at the bar, air con didn’t work and fan not put together properly to use, hot water took 10 minutes to heat, unable to move shower head with soaking the bathroom, no ceiling light

Interesting overnight stay.
Pros:

Friendly, helpful staff. Well furnished, comfortable room ( except for lack of working air-conditioning, see below ). Lovely gardens. Excellent breakfast. And no fire alarm going off during the night ( as happened on our recent previous stay! ).

Cons:

Lack of working air conditioning unit meant that it was necessary to keep windows open at night in recent extreme heat wave conditions. The electric fan which had been provided as a substitute for, whilst efficient was noisy. This together with considerable traffic noise from the road meant little sleep … again!

Pros:

The location was great for my purposes.

Cons:

The bathroom could have done with a better clean, cabinet door was missing, Extractor fan didn't work. The room was very warm and the aircon barely did anything.
I had booked a small double room but it was just a twin room with the beds pushed together, with separate sheets and duvets etc.
Breakfast had no fresh fruit on offer and the fruit juices were from concentrate.
Overall it was disappointing for the money.

Clean, spacious, quiet, and close to train station.
Pros:

Location was great and close to the train station (we just didn't realize it was 90% uphill - our error). Beautiful lobby, spa, and garden. Pleasant and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast!!! Well worth the cost!

Cons:

Hallway, Sandringham Suite and its restroom were spacious and clean, just a bit dated in contrast to the lobby and other common areas. On our way out for the evening we notified the desk that the patio door's lock mechanism wasn't working properly. When we returned we were told it had been fixed, but it was still loose and the bottom screw in the faceplate was turning freely, unattached. We felt secure enough in our surroundings so left this as it was and went to sleep. We did mention at checkout that it was not working in the hope that they would attend to it more thoroughly after we left. I only mention because some travelers hold security as a top consideration and we felt the room could have been more secure.

A beautiful hotel in Maidenhead
Pros:

Staff were so helpful and kind. We were there for a funeral and they did everything in their remit to make our stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible including setting up chairs and a quiet space in the beautiful garden. The hotel is a little dated but its super comfortable, clean and spacious. The spa is lovely and the heated swimming pool was a real bonus.

Cons:

Breakfast needs some improvement.

Pros:

Aesthetics were fab! Pool was incredible

Cons:

Barely stocked bar with minimal choice meant we had to get a "grocery" delivery via uber! Also hadn't been advised that restaurant was closed due to an event, so had to get food delivered too

Pros:

The location itself is lovely — a beautiful old-fashioned English hotel with a nice character. However, the inside feels very outdated. The bathtub were leaking continually and the furniture and overall condition of the rooms really need upgrading and better maintenance. The hotel would definitely benefit from some renovation and more attention to detail to match the charm of the location itself.

Pros:

Free wifi
A decent walk to the town centre (10-15 mins)

Cons:

Shower not working - a slow trickle which meant having a shower was impossible

Pros:

The staff were great and the spa pool was good .

Cons:

This hotel is long overdue a refit.
Room was dusty and bathroom plumbing was unreliable, no plugs.
Only service room if leave out sign..don’t supply sign.
Food was poor pub grub.Dining room was cold and grubby.
Wouldn’t recommend to friend.
Half an hour team effort with cleaner and a tidy up of road side approach could make an improvement. The whole place is just worn out .
