Worst hotel stay ever!
Pros:

Sadly this was the worst hotel stay I've ever had.
We arrived for early check in at 11am to be informed that there was no power and this had been the case all morning, the staff did not think to call ahead to inform us of this before our arrival. This meant we were unable to use air con/ fans during the heatwave, turn lights on, use phone chargers or any amenities in the room. The bathroom had no windows and because there was no power for the lights to work, it was unsafe to use the shower because it was pitch black all day. The power did not come back on in our room at all in the 24 hours we were there.
The room it's self was very dated, poor cleanliness and the upkeep in general.was of a very low standard.
When raising this to the manager I was told I would be refunded the £20 early check in fee and a small percentage of the stay. This is incredibly disappointing as we have spent just under £100 for a bed in a hot and unclean room.
I would not recommend this hotel and I will never be returning.

No way is this a 4* hotel
Pros:

We unfortunately arrived to a power cut, which was not their fault.......However, things got worse with the room being unclean, sticky and dusty. The toilet wasn't clean and the toilet brush was disgusting. The tap was broken and the shower head was fixed so low that my husband was unable to stand under it.
Our door didn't shut on its own so we spent the night with the door open as we didn't notice until morning. The room lighting was terrible and the bathroom light was so bright with a very loud fan. The pillows were thin and there were no tea bags in the selection.
At breakfast we found that the menu was not operating and it was self service. It was terrible, The hot food was cold and no vegetarian option. There were two waitresses, but neither were clearing the tables so we were sat between dirty plates.
The toaster didn't fit the bread so you had to turn it over to toast the top. Very disappointing!
No way is this a 4* Hotel.

The perfect place to relax and unwind
Pros:

Excellent helpful and caring staff. Loved being able to swim outside in a nicely heated pool. Hotel is quiet and very relaxing. The hot food at breakfast is freshly made to order which is so much nicer than helping yourself to food from a buffet style breakfast where food never tastes as fresh. The chef made me an omelette which was one of the nicest I've ever tasted and so light. I would have no hesitation in returning and can only say a big thank you to you all.

Cons:

Nothing

Very disappointed couldn't recommend.
Cons:

Due to a problem with the power supply there was no electricity supply to our room and no option to move. Restaurant could only offer a very limited service. The staff didn't seem to have any initiative as to what to do leaving customers very unhappy and potentially unsafe. They did offer a 25% refund on check out if you complained. All in all a very disappointing stay we will not be going back and wouldn't recommend.

Awful
Pros:

The property is very old There was no Aircon and there was no fridge. It looked like someone had taken it. I don’t know in the room.

Cons:

The property had no power. I ended up leaving at 11 o’clock. I’ve tried to request a refund and it got declined so I’m very frustrated… the manager knew there was no power for morning he should’ve called the people that was coming down to give them a heads up as I don’t live too far from the hotel.

Spar break through Woucher
Pros:

We booked this hotel as a spar break with woucher.
Upon arrival it looked really nice from outside.
Reception was ok, the room wasn't ready, but was told unfortunately the room doesn't have air-conditioning but dose have a fan.
Went to the bar area, but no one was behind the bar, rang the bell and about 5 minutes a member of staff, came out, asked for a beer, but was told cant serve alcohol till 1800 ( website says different). The bar man addressed my partner as love, not madam as we would have expected.
Upon getting the room keys we went to the room, but the carpets looked like they were 50 years old, hadn't been hovered in weeks, at the bottom of the stairs to the second floor, was bags of laundry lying around, hover parts just dumped and hadn't been hovered in ages, photos will show this.
Upon entering the room, it was roasting and smelt musty. It looked as it had been cleaned, but not to a good standard. Where the fridge was, it was just an empty cupboard with a smashed wood work at the back, so they could access the power sockets.
The bathroom was clean, but was old and tired, the bedside tables had an open bottom shelf, but was full off dust. A tissue box was present, but only had 1 tissue inn. We reported the no fridge to reception, who kindly did offer us a suite, but it was at the top of the hotel, we looked and declined as it was even hotter up in the roof of the hotel, this still had no air-conditioning and the fridge wasn't working. There was discarded plastic on the carpet on the stairs/ landing on the way to the suite.
The spar was , well not a spar in my eyes, about 4 meters long and about 2 meters wide, except the outside part of the pool, fortunately it was very good weather, but if it wasn't there would have been no where to sit or swim. Outside was about 10 sets of sun loungers, but 90 % of them just had towels on, spoke to the spar staff, who looked and said there is one there, but without an umbrella in very hot temperatures. There attitude was it is what it is.
The outside pool was nice and the water nice and warm.
The whole hotel looked grubby, the dinning room area furniture was a miss match, the walls and ceiling had unpainted plaster, obviously been repaired before, the wood work on the doors to i would assume a storage area were in desperate need of a good paint.
We was ment to have a glass of prosecco on arrival, but that wasn't offerd, had to ask the waitress at dinner time, who went to enquire, we dis get a glass of house wine instead. Upon receiving our bill for evening meal and drinks, it didn't have the £40 dinning credit on, the waitress did ask us for our room number before sitting diwn, so hotel didn't inform the restaurant side, we had to put the bill on our room and sort the evening meal credit out with reception in the morning at check out
The bar staff kept charging different prices for myself and my partner, when she went to the bar.
Overall the hotel was grubby, dirty, staff were miserable, except the young waitress/ bar lady. The hotel is in need of a major renovation. Certainly not a 4 star hotel, even Travelodge is better in my eyes.
Wouldn't even give it 1 star on a review, but thats the least I can do.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would never stay here again.

Do not stay here. Not 4*
Pros:

Do not book here. Hotel is awful, old, terrible service, dirty and not a 4* hotel.
The wallpaper is peeling off the walls, there is mould in the bathtub. The bed is broken, no full length mirror. The pool was dirty and broken gates and old broken sunbeds are scattered in the corners of the pool area. I have looked at comments from the manager saying the hotel is going under a renovation but there are no signs of this at all. Its honestly like faulty towers. The bar was closed and you have to knock on a door saying staff only to get someone to serve you. The only positive is that we got some money off the room. A premier inn is much better than this hotel. So many people have complained today and we will be reporting them for fraudulent advertising as a 4* hotel. I heard someone found chicken bones on the floor in their room and an elderly couple were placed on the 2nd floor when they had asked for an accessible room.

Pros:

Swimming pool

Cons:

NO AIR-CONDITIONING! (Just an unstable fan, blowing warm air around the room)
Cheap thin toilet paper.
No spare pillows.
No staff at reception when you check-in, I’ve stayed here about four times, and there’s never been anyone at reception when I check-in, so I’m left standing around trying to ring the hotel in, which nobody ever answers.

Overall good, would stay there again
Pros:

The room was very spacious with plenty of storage. The staff were friendly and welcoming

Cons:

There isn't enough staff. On the Saturday night of our stay the restaurant wasn't open because there was a 50th in the function room. On the Sunday morning we had to wait 15mins for breakfast items because they only had 1 chef on.

Pros:

The staff is really nice, friendly and helpful, there was a nice event the night we stayed, and the bed was very comfortable, but unfortunately the pool and the room were dirty. We went there especially for the pool but we didn’t actually use it because wasn’t clean since long time I believe. I don’t understand why this hotel is 4 stars.
