Les extérieurs sont magnifiques, bien entretenus et la literie est confortable.

Cons:

Dommage que pour une suite, on ne puisse pas se doucher comme il faut avec un minimum de pression. Par apport au prix de la nuit, le minimum serait de pouvoir prendre une douche correctement.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner était quand même moyen, pas assez de croissants pour toutes les personnes séjournant à l’établissement, en revanche le petit déjeuner sur la carte était excellent.

Nice but not as special as the price suggested.
Pros:

The gardens were beautifully maintained and the parking was excellent. It was a lovely sized room and bathroom. We had an issue with something during our stay which staff were attentive to at the time and the man on reception when we left made my day. Customer service at its best at this particular point.

Cons:

The hotel looks tired, could be cleaner and have something more special about it for the price. A little creativeness would go a long way, like giving the history of the place for all the international visitors, providing homemade marmalade for breakfast, more hotel info in the bedrooms.

Wouldn’t stay there if I knew what it would be like

The place is beautiful but so old and outdated, dusty and unclean, bathroom full of mould and un clean,our room would rate it a 3 star, I spoke to the staff and we were put in a better room but the carpeted floor so dirty and old

Disappointed, feel ripped off

The food was good with choices of quality locally sourced ingredients

Cons:

We booked a suite and was the most expensive room of our 10 stop tour of Scotland. Sadly it was the worst. The online pictures must be 5-10 years old as the public lounge was much shabbier. Our room was large but very dated. We had a lounge accessed through double doors but it was totally featureless. The wood around the window was totally rotted, so much so that you could see right through the wood. The bathroom looked good and modern but there was no water pressure and a shower took ages, it got worse when the water cut out altogether mid-shower. The staff worked very hard but there were not enough of them. They had to work both reception and bar or vacuuming and serving dinner. On check in, we had to hunt for a staff member and finding someone to get us a drink was similar

What could be an amazing place
Pros:

The building and grounds are very beautiful. The gentlemen in the reception was very friendly.

Cons:

We had a very bad experience in the breakfast of the first day. Very unpleasant person, completely in contrast with the experience in the second day. The inside is completely run down and needs urgent renovation.

Great location and excellent service hotel
Pros:

Room size was excellent, we ate in the restaurant food quality was excellent. Services was excellent. Lovely gardens and peaceful. I’d recommend.
