The Iguazu Jungle Lodge is located in an ecological reserve that borders a stream and the Iguazú River coming from the falls, which generates a humid microclimate due to contact with nature.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Pros:

Die Zimmer sind außergewöhnlich geräumig und bieten wirklich allen erdenklichen Komfort. Wir hatten sehr viel Platz und haben uns dort als Familie ausgesprochen wohlgefühlt. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig.

Ein kleiner Hinweis insbesondere für Familien mit Kindern: Neben der Minibar stehen im Zimmer auch verschiedene Snacks bereit, die kostenpflichtig sind. Für uns war allerdings nicht eindeutig gekennzeichnet, dass diese ebenfalls berechnet werden. Daher sollte man ein wenig darauf achten, was die Kinder davon essen – unsere gingen zunächst davon aus, dass die bereitgestellten Snacks kostenlos seien. Eine deutlichere Kennzeichnung beziehungsweise Preisliste wäre hier hilfreich.

Cons:

Was uns nicht gefallen hat, war die Organisation des Flughafentransfers. Das Hotel hatte uns bereits im Vorfeld kontaktiert und gefragt, ob wir einen Shuttle vom Flughafen Foz do Iguaçu zum Hotel buchen möchten. Dieses Angebot haben wir gerne angenommen und einen Transfer für sechs Personen inklusive Gepäck zum vereinbarten Preis von 95 US-Dollar gebucht.

Überraschend war für uns, dass der Fahrer bei der Ankunft den vollständigen Betrag direkt von uns verlangte. Da wir den Transfer über das Hotel beziehungsweise dessen Rezeption gebucht hatten, gingen wir selbstverständlich davon aus, dass wir ihn auch über das Hotel bezahlen könnten. An der Rezeption wurde uns jedoch mitgeteilt, dass dies nicht möglich sei und der Fahrer grundsätzlich direkt bezahlt werden müsse.

Zusätzlich wollte der Fahrer bei einer Zahlung mit Kreditkarte noch eine Gebühr von 15 % auf den vereinbarten Preis aufschlagen. Damit hätte der Transfer mehr als 100 US-Dollar gekostet. Damit waren wir nicht einverstanden. Aus unserer Sicht ist dieses Vorgehen wenig professionell: Wenn ein Hotel seinen Gästen einen Transfer vermittelt und dafür vorab einen festen Preis nennt, sollte entweder eine Bezahlung über das Hotel möglich sein oder zumindest im Vorfeld eindeutig darauf hingewiesen werden, dass die Zahlung direkt an den Fahrer erfolgt und bei Kartenzahlung erhebliche zusätzliche Gebühren anfallen.

Hinzu kommt, dass die angesetzten 95 US-Dollar ohnehin sehr hoch waren. Für die Rückfahrt vom Hotel zum selben Flughafen haben wir bei einem anderen Anbieter lediglich 50 US-Dollar bezahlt. Wir würden daher empfehlen, den Transfer entweder selbst zu organisieren oder Preis und Zahlungsbedingungen vorab sehr genau zu klären.

muito boa e confortavel o ambiente é lindo.
Pros:

Quarto otimo , bem confortavel , chuveiro otimo , cama confortavel e também os arredores muito bem cuidado .

Cons:

tivemos um problema no ar condicionado, mas logo foi resolvido , também sentimos por o café ser somente as 7 da manhã , não conseguimos aproveitar , minha sugestão é que seja antecipado um pouco.

Good spacious rooms in a good location
Pros:

Location is close to border crossing and not too far from the town, so easy to walk in for restaurants etc. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Got double-charged on check-in (I'd prepaid, but forgot this when checking in). Was resolved and refunded. One of the pools was being cleaned. But it was 16 degrees and rainy (winter) so not an issue.

Great hotel with amazing views, convenient location for visiting both sides of the falls!
Pros:

Very nice hotel that is currently being updated to resort status and is likely to become even nicer. My room was beautiful and very clean and had an incredible view of the river with a balcony that was lovely to sit on. Staff was very friendly and helpful and all spoke English quite well, which was great as my Spanish is very limited.

Cons:

The restaurant was pretty mediocre in terms of quality, though the staff was very nice. It would have been nice if the pool was heated however I realize it was winter there (air temp was like high 70s though), and so it probably doesn’t make sense financially for them to heat it. Puerto Iguazu itself is a bit rundown and the area by the hotel is not easily walkable due to no sidewalks but Ubers are plentiful and cheap.
