The staff person working the front desk was so kind and helpful
Story Hotel Pera is well-located, with two great locantos within 6 metres - both recommended. It was easy using the IstanbulKart to hop a tram from Tophane to Sultanahment stop with Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the cisterns etc., the Grand Bazaar two more stops, and Pera Palace an easy 250m walk.
The staff here are beyond helpful, knew our names on arrival, booked us excellent massages, gave recommendations for cafes etc., and assisted with travel arrangements getting back to Australia.
Turkiye is an amazing country, and the lads here are the epitome of the friendliness, service and humour we've encountered these past three weeks. What an excellent place to finish our stay, I'd certainly return and stay here.
Other than to mention Turkiye is a bit more expensive than we'd expected, it's been completely delightful. No complaints.

This is a lovely hotel very conveniently situation on a nice street, close to the tram and the old red tram too for easy movement between the two sides

From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the service was simply outstanding. Although this is not a family-run hotel, that is exactly how it feels. Every single member of the team genuinely cared about making our stay special, and their kindness and attention to detail exceeded every expectation.
We were celebrating Alejandro’s birthday, and the staff surprised him with a beautiful birthday cake and even upgraded our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made an already wonderful trip even more memorable.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with amazing views, comfortable rooms, and an unbeatable location. Getting around Istanbul was incredibly easy thanks to the nearby public transportation, and the staff provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, many of which became highlights of our trip.
What truly sets Story Pera apart is its people. Their hospitality is sincere, warm, and effortless, making you feel genuinely welcomed rather than simply accommodated.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable. We will definitely return, and we wholeheartedly recommend Story Pera to anyone visiting Istanbul.

The location was better than expected

Loved the space and lounge area in our room.
We had a great time during our stay, the staff is super welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located right next to the famous Istikal street. We had a late flight so they even accommodated a late check in for us. Overall a great stay.
Central location, no noise from surrounding streets, friendly staff, large bed, great shower, free use of bathrobes, token gesture of baklava and daily top up of water.
A little noisy on occasions due to thin walls between rooms.
Close to public transport and walking distance to Galata and Karakoy
