The hotel is located in a quiet place. The service at the hotel is excellent. The beds are very comfortable.
We had a lovely stay at Maison Durante. The location was perfect - very close to the train station and a short walk from the seafront and city centre. The property was immaculate, the room very tastefully designed and the products were beautiful! There was an unlimited supply of water and coffee pods available during our stay. The staff were super friendly and check was quick and easy, with a dedicated WhatsApp number for any enquiries. Thank you team Maison Durante, we will be back!

The staff are so helpful and nice. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location right near the station. Rooms are large and bright. Highly recommend.
Only a small thing - the shower water kept leaking out of the shower.
This would have been a much higher score, but there are a couple of issues we can't ignore... However, the positives! The staff were all lovely and friendly, and also very helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the air con worked well and wasn't noisy. The bedroom decor was nice (but had issues, see below), shower room was very nice (also issues though!). The location was excellent as we were only 5 minutes from the train station, and less than 10 minutes from the main shopping street. The beach was a bit longer at 15 mins, and the old town is about 20 mins - but you can't be near everything in Nice! There could have been more choices, but what they did have at breakfast was very tasty.
The hotel does need some maintenance - the decor is nice, but the paper is peeling off the walls in parts, and the light switch cover on our bedroom wall fell off every time we tried to flick the switch. There are other areas that need some maintenance. The bedroom was very small, and hardly any space to store our belongings. No fridge, which was an issue as we would have liked to put our water and other cold drinks in there. There was an odd smell in our room, like damp - not sure what it was. Slippers were provided, but no robes, which would have been very handy after showering, and we usually find that these are provided in 4-star hotels. The breakfast choice was limited. There was only orange juice, which my husband can't drink as he is allergic to oranges. Coffee was from a machine, and I would have preferred fresh. Not a great amount of choice at all, really. Would like to see more fruit and yogurt out to help yourself, rather than having to ask and only getting the fruit you're given. Sadly, on our last night, I needed to wash my hair and have a shower, but the water was almost cold. Reception closed at 10 pm, and it was 11 pm, so I couldn't even call for help. Waited until morning to see if the issue had resolved, but found we still had no hot water. Extremely disappointing not to be able to have a shower ( I can't do cold showers, I'm afraid!). If the issues with decor and fittings are fixed, and more choice is provided at breakfast, and if we had been given a bigger room for what we paid (with a fridge and robes added), this would have been a 10, as the location, comfortable bed, and the lovely staff were all 5-star!
