Nice room, clean and spacious. Very modern with a comfy bed. Lacks air-conditioning but had a fan on the wall. Excellent location for a short walk into the centre.
Poor parking, it is york so not many hotels actually have parking. But its like tetris getting cars in, if your car is large you will struggle. The building itself is a bit run down, looks like a cheap b&b on entering despite the room quality. Only one room key provided(an actual key). Lacks air con. The room price is high but it is possibly the time of year and location.
The staff were lovely
Builders were in when I was booked in with no prior notification. Far from being a relaxing stay at a ‘spa hotel’. I left early very upset at having my holiday ruined.
Hall ways and shared areas were dated and in need of updating like the bedrooms.
Single glazed windows with no secondary glazing meant I was woken up multiple times in the night by people out at the bins doing god knows what very noisily.

Es más una casa de huéspedes que un hotel, el personal de recepción te recibe en pijama/chandal,comiendo bocadillos, muy informal pero amables. La chica del desayuno muy seca e impaciente. Olor a humedad. Las instalaciones muy sencillas pero limpias.
Loved the location, and the super friendly and helpful staff. The owner is charming and the whole team did theor best to make our stay comfort.
Our room was tiny, our fault for booking a standard room and not clocking the sqm size. I would definitely book a larger room next time.
Just a tiny thing, the oven roasted tomatoes at breakfast could do with more roasting as they were raw in the middle. Other than that, the breakfast was lovely and it was extremely nice of the owner to arrange it for after our yoga session, this was much appreciated.
Gym and wellness facilities were excellent! Staff were very friendly and helpful both before my stay and while I was there. Location is absolutely brilliant, easy to get into town but very quiet and peaceful.
The bed was unfortunately too firm for me so I didn't end up sleeping very well. The bed was obviously of a very high quality, and they of course can't be perfect for everyone! Otherwise, the room was very quiet and the pillows were excellent!

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut.
Leider hatten wir ein sehr schlechtes Zimmer, die Möbel waren sehr alt und die Sauberkeit unzureichend, es wirkte alles ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und speziell unser Zimmer sehr Renovierungsbedürftig, die Fenster waren mit Milchglas gefüllt so das man überhaupt nicht rausschauen konnte, hier fehlten auch 3 von 4 Verriegelungen. Der Teppich wurde in den 6 Tagen gar nicht gesaugt und auch ansonsten wurde maximal das Bett 1x am Tag lieblos gemacht. Wir hatten Schimmel in der Dusche. Was man der Unterkunft zu Gute halten muss ist, das anscheinend gerade Renovierungsarbeiten stattfinden.

A slight negative for me was you had to run the tap/shower fir 5 mins before the hot water came through

No lift as we were on 2nd floor with 2 suit cases
Fantastisk beliggenhet med med kort vei til togstasjonen og kort vei inn til sentrum.Ca 5 min gåtur inn til selve sentrum av byen.Lå i en rolig gate unna bystøy.Personalet var superhyggelig og hjelpsomme og vi fikk valg om oppgradering til ett større rom og seng for en kun noen få pund ekstra pr natt.Dette hotellet var over all forventning.Her får du en god natt søvn så mann er klar for å oppdage York by fulladet.
